When two or three are gathered there is
hope, hurt, healing, love.
When two or three are gathered,
let us worship together.
Gathering Music MV 14
When two or three are gathered in my name,
I am there, I am there.
Welcome and Territory Acknowledgement
Sixteenth after Pentecost
WELCOME to worship this morning and welcome
to Leaside United Church - we’re glad you joined
us! We meet on the Traditional Territory of the
Mississaugas of the New Credit. Please join us for
Lemonade on the Lawn after the service.
(During the worship service, you are invited to rise
in body or in spirit when we sing.)
Please ask one of the Ushers if you require a
LARGE PRINT hymn book, a magnifying
glass, or a hearing device.
Lighting the Christ Candle
The Earth spins,
from night to day to night again.
The planets revolve.
The galaxies dance through the sky.
In all things, with all things,
is the God of All.
In the places where there is no light,
in the places where only the tiniest spark can flare,
in the places where the light
is brighter than bright –
and all the places in between –
In all things, with all things,
is the Holy Spirit.
Let this flame be
our tiny reminder
of the great Christ-light.
Now and forever! Amen!

Dedication VU 540 Grant Us, God, the Grace
STUTTGART
Grant us, God, the Grace of giving,
with a spirit large and free,
That ourselves and all our living
we may offer faithfully.
Prayers and The Prayer of Jesus
Ground of all being, Mother of life,
Father of the universe,
your name is sacred, beyond speaking.
May we know your presence today and always.
May your longings be our longings
and may they become words and acts of kindness.
May there be food for the human family today
and for the whole earth community.
Forgive us our faults,
and the false things we have done,
and help us forgive those
who have been untrue to us.
May your love accompany us in times of conflict
but also lead us into new beginnings.
We pray in the light of life,
in the vitality of life
and in the glory of life which you have given us,
both now, and forever. Amen.
