Fiesta Las Vegas Parade & Festival!
Mente Sana participated in the first Fiesta Las Vegas Fiesta Latino
Parade & Festival to celebrate the commencement of the
Hispanic Heritage Month festivities. This event took place in
downtown Las Vegas on Saturday, September 17, 2011.
Fiesta Las Vegas celebrated cultural diversity and highlight
unique customs that make Latino culture special. Fiesta Las
Vegas featured an array of colorful floats, performing artists,
traditional food and family activities.

MENTE SANA, EDUCATION, PREVENTION, AND COUNSELING is a 501©3 nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic counseling to children and
their families. Our mission is to provide quality mental health services to
children who are underinsured or uninsured. Our goal is to provide a
healthier mental health environment to the families of our community.
LEADERSHIP AND RESILIENCY PROGRAM: This is an intensive substance abuse
prevention program designed to serve youth who are “at-risk” for involvement
with substance abuse and/or violence, dropping out of school, gang
involvement, teen pregnancy and youth who are enrolled in mainstream or
alternative school settings. This program is provided in partnership with Luz
Community Development Coalition at Mente Sana the last two Saturdays of
every month from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
GRUPO DE MUJERES: This support group for Spanish speaking women is held from
10:00 am to 12:00 pm every other Friday. Through Occupational Therapy,
Aromatherapy, Social and Recreational Activities, Educational and
Motivational Speeches, the participants of this group may find emotional
support, motivation and social interaction.

Mente Sana, Education, Prevention, and Counseling is always looking forward to
being present at the Las Vegas community events. BBS Counseling has the
perfect team to support most of these great events. Most of our team members
are bilingual and with a huge desire of helping others. I am sure that we will do a
great job in the community.

the valley, feel free to contact me.
