And the FAST lottery basket
winner is ......Who????
The weekly FAST meeting was held on Wednesday, April
23rd, from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Songs were sung, charades and
scribbles were played, and the parent group talked about
raising children--then and now.
The Lenitons won the last Lottery basket to be given away.
They knew they were going to win, because everyone has to
win once during the 8-week program. In fact, both Harrison
and his mother told Mary Warren more than once that they
were going to win the lottery on Wednesday night.
Ben Lemmon played a joke on the family by announcing that
the Jones had won, which brought some strange looks from the group, including the Lenitons!
Graduation is April 30th
The last meeting of the FAST group will be the graduation meeting. Families will complete the post-survey,
and engage in a shortened schedule of events. There may be a leftover, potluck drawing for prizes not used in
the lottery baskets.
What’s Next for FAST?
The program was such a success, that the FAST organization has approved funding for next year. Plans are in
the works to begin a new group of families in September. A big “THANK YOU” goes out to Anna Baum,
Parent Partner and school chef, for preparing such wonderful meals throughout the program!! Her desserts are
to die for!!!!
Admit One for High Quiz Scores and Stellar Listening!
The first drawing for the movie passes came on Thursday during snacks!
Students were challenged this week and next to score 90-100% on
their AR quizzes, be excellent listeners, and perfect attenders during
after school. Teachers awarded orange tickets to anyone who met the
criteria set by each after school class. Tickets were then placed in a
larger container for the week’s drawing. The winners of this week’s
movie passes are: Sophia Rios, Triston Wade, Koda Blankinship,
Isabelle Kaiser, Pacey Sellers, Brycen Dickens, Haley Sellers.
Several Incentives to “Stay the Course” in After
School
The movie pass promo will end with the second drawing on May 1st. Then, for the first week in May, another
incentive will be announced so that students will help us keep the enrollments up for the entire program time. If
you thought the movie passes were great, wait until you hear about the next promotion!!
