Ordering PIN-codes
MinID is used for
If you do not have the PIN code letter from
MinID you can order a new one. The PIN
codes are only sent by mail to your address
listed in the National Population Register.
MinID is an electronic ID, which provides
access to public services online. These
services may be the Tax administration,
NAV, Altinn etc.

How to log in:
To log in with MinID you need: •National identity number or
D number
•Password
•Single-use code from SMS or
PIN code from PIN code letter
Go to the service you want to log into, for example
nav.no, altinn.no or skatteetaten.no
1.Select MinID as the log in method
2.Enter your national identity number and your
password
3.Enter single-use code from SMS or PIN-code
letter

New password
To create a new password:
If you are already registered as a
user, you can receive single-use
codes by SMS and e-mail to create
a new password. If you have only
registered a mobile phone number
or e-mail address, you have to use
the PIN code letter as well.
Go to the service you want to log in to, for
example nav.no, altinn.no or skatteetaten.no
1.Select MinID as the log in method
2.Click «Forgotten password» on the log in screen
3.Enter your national identity number and click «Next»
4.Follow the log in procedure

How to register a MinID user:
MinID provides access to public
services online at a medium-high
level of security. These services may
be NAV, the Tax administration, Altinn
etc.
To register yourself as a MinID user you can go
to public services that use ID-porten.
1. Select the log in alternative «MinID»
2. Click the link «Register new user»
3. Follow instructions
