Glastron GT205 CB For the Love of Boating!! Glastron Heritage A legacy of flush deck boats… 1950’s The first boat built by Glastron, the FireFlite was a closed deck boat and continued through out the 50’s. 1960’s In the1960’s Glastron continued manufacturing closed deck boats, and expanded it’s line to include additional models such as the Skiflite, Surflite, & Jetflite. In the late 60’s the partnership of Glastron / Carlson began with yet another closed deck, the 16’ Challenger. 1970’s Through out the 70’s Glastron/Carlson developed many new boats and established an image of performance and luxury for the brand. With a growing perception of the brand, size also grew to include more models in the 20 foot range. 1980’s The 80’s marked a peak in design with well known boats such as the Scimitar & Intimidator. Glastron / Carlson continued to develop new boats into the early 90’s, but by the mid 90’s the image of Glastron began to portray more of a family lifestyle.
