Sixteen episodes will take us from ruin to
restaurant. Thomas and Dion have always
wanted to be their own bosses, a very
bumpy road, to put it mildly
PHOTO / DR
It is a story of our world that the economic crisis almost overturned five years
ago, and which is still holding its breath
as it waits for the next bubble to burst
and for the next economic tsunami to
strike. And of course it is the story of us
human beings, the rich, the poor, the
greedy, the fraudulent, the robbers who’ll
go to any lengths to build the lives of our
dreams. Follow the Money is the story of
greed: Theirs and ours….

Follow the Money is a series that takes
us into the world of economic crime
in the banks, on the stock exchanges,
and in the board rooms. It is the story
of speculators, swindlers, corporate
moguls and the crimes they commit in
their hunt for wealth. It is the story of
ambition that corrupts, and of the way
organized criminals launder their illgotten gains
And then there is the past. Not easy
to escape from, whether it involved
unhealthy relations with a dad or a mum,
an unbroken chain of disappointments,
old debts, sorrows, or traumatic,
unsolved road deaths. Everyone drags
around the kind of baggage that makes it
difficult to negotiate the present, not to
mention the future. Thomas has to deal
with his emotionally frigid father, a son of
eight who has not spoken for two years,
child protection officers contemplating a
care order, Hannah from the grief therapy
group who is as pushy as she is needy.
Dion has old debts to the local gangster,
the Tooth Fairy, and has to put up the
restaurant as collateral. He has turned the
head of a prison warder and if that were
not enough, her dad is after the Tooth
Fairy and is leaning on Dion to turn snout.
This is no series for anyone off his food or
with skeletons in their cupboards. There are
flying fists, blanching, braising and coke
sniffing. Everyone owes everyone else,
money and favours, and they eat, shag,
swindle, prevaricate, love and betray.

THE LEGACY I & II
THE LEGACY III
PHOTO / PER ARNESEN
PHOTO / MARTIN LEHMANN
IN PRODUCTION
In season 1 the serial follows Veronika’s four grown-up children whose free and chaotic
child-hood at Grønnegaard has left its mark on them in very different ways. They live
scattered to the four winds until Veronika dies and they gather to wind up the estate.
Just before she dies, Veronika leaves the manor to her daughter Signe, who was given
up for adoption. Signe lives with her partner in a quiet residential area in the local town
and has never known the truth about her parentage.
What was meant to be a quick and painless estate division becomes the start of a
journey into secrets and lies that turn their lives upside down and force them to see
each other and themselves with new eyes.
In season 2 the lives and destinies of the four siblings continue to intertwine, often
confounding their plans for the future. The estate has been wound up and material
terms the legacy apportioned; Signe has taken up residence at Grønnegård, where she
has allowed Gro’s father Thomas to stay on.
Frederik is struggling to prevent his own little family from falling apart. Emil is in big
trouble in Thailand. Gro will stop at nothing to rescue him.
The emotional legacy is far from closure, however: it is laden with expectations, sorrows
and betrayal. The four siblings are all indebted to one another every which way in their
efforts to be acknowledged and to find togetherness.
Is there any chance at all that they will ever slip the shackles of their legacy?

The Legacy is a character-driven drama serial about what it means to be a family in a
time when classical family patterns have radically changed. The serial is a modern family
portrait. A description of the ‘68 generation and their children. A narrative about the
sharp traces and consequences left by an intense time of upheaval upon modern family
life – whether it takes place in a seemingly liberated and progressive artist’s home or in a
more traditional and community-oriented, provincial and handball-minded environment

NORSKOV
RITA
Rita is a caustically honest and
unpredictable school teacher, who
wrestle with problems in the public
school system, with students and
teachers – and the conflicts in her
own rather chaotic life. She is the
coolest school teacher with a burning
determination to fight tooth and nail
for her students and to rush fearlessly
into conflicts with bureaucratic but
somewhat too well-meaning colleagues
at a public school filled with everyday
dramas
NEW
PHOTO / ADAM WALLENSTEN
The first season of Rita basically deals
with the personal: Rita’s relationship with
her children – in particular, her clashes
with them and her role as a mother, a role
she had a hard time with, since she is
essentially a child herself. In the second
season, the focus was primarily on Rita’s
problems with intimacy: Her desire to
test herself in a close relationship with
a man (Rasmus) and her self-imposed
domestication of herself. To say the least,
it only partially succeeded, and Rita is
alone again at the start of the new season.
But Tom soon discovers that it is not
easy to return home as a cop, when
you left town as “The Lassie”. Tom must
navigate between his brother-in-law
Martin, his sister Jackie, director of the
family business Noack Furniture, and
his childhood friend Bondy, a major
contractor and the brother of Tom’s
teenage sweetheart Diana. Before long,
Tom is caught up in the town’s struggles
and intrigues. At the same time, his job
gets bigger when he happens on the trail
of an international drug ring based in
Norskov.
Gradually, as Tom digs deeper in his
investigation, he finds clues that lead to
the local community, close to his family
and friends. When Diana dies in tragic
circumstances, she leaves behind her
son Oliver, the town’s young hockey
hope; and when Tom takes responsibility
for Oliver’s fate, it becomes more and
more difficult for him to keep a balance
between the professional and the
personal.

In the third season, as an interim
principal, Rita is given the rest of
the year to get the pupils and the
school back on track, much to Alice’s
annoyance. Rasmus, having witnessed
the effect of Rita’s work, finally comes
through for her. He shows her a
loophole: If her pupils rank among the
bottom 5% in a nationwide test, the
city council is mandated to redirect
funds to the school. So Rita persuades
her pupils to deliberately flunk the
nationwide test, knowing full well that it
will get herself fired.
In her private life, too, Rita’s story is a
struggle for responsibility. For the first
time in her life she finds herself alone,
and suddenly she is faced with her
loneliness and her own mortality. Rita
begins an affair with 28 year-old Said,
who is not only the older brother of one
of her pupils but also the leader of a
local gang.

MISFITS
HEARTLESS
MIPJUNIOR
PHOTO / SF FILM
PHOTO / ROLF KONOW
MIPJUNIOR
The series Misfits is about being different. About
the wonderful, freeing and fantastic in being the
odd one out. But it is also about the hardship and
the bullying that often go hand in hand with it.
About the long journey that every child has to
make: A journey that they are led to believe, both
by the media and at school, is about whom or
what they want to be. A journey that really should
be about how you can become yourself. It is a
complicated journey that is not just relevant but
absolutely essential to portray
A theme week on bullying is planed at Islevgård’s
School. Hjørdis and the spineless music teacher,
Gert, are appointed to arrange a theatre concert.
A small group of socially awkward pupils sign up
for the theatre troupe. Together they are going to
set up a fine, small and cosy performance about
bullying. But when the protector of an anti-bullying
foundation, the Crown Princess Mary, announces her
participation, Helle’s ambition increases significantly.
Helle ”borrows” a couple of pupils from the local and
more privileged music school, and what should have
been an anti-bullying project ends up as a prime
arena for bullying. Hjørdis has to step up and risks
everything, including her own job, to see the project
through with her own awkward and nerdy pupils.
However, Hjørdis’ pupils are not as talented - at least
not in a traditional way - and Hjørdis has to learn that
instead of turning them into something they are not
- superstars - she has to bring out the best in them
and to inspire them to use their own stories in order
to create the theatre concert. She persuades the
pupils to share and talk about their fears and their
dreams, to show who they really are.
But to “show who you really are” can be both very
sensitive and socially dangerous and ultimately it
can make the lives of the awkward and nerdy kids
even more difficult than they initially were. And as
both their classmates and their parents are getting
increasingly sceptical about Hjørdis’ project, Hjørdis
and the kids have to find a strength and a courage
that they did not know they had and finally - as a
group - show the whole school, who they are and
what a princess also can look like.

The unusual sibling couple of Sebastian and Sofie have a mysterious, dark and fatal
secret: In order to stay alive they are forced to suck life force from people around
them, just as a vampire sucks blood
Sometimes they cannot control this instinct desire to suck and the victim may go up
in flames! Where Sofie is the outgoing and somewhat cynical of the two who does
whatever’s necessary to keep herself and her brother alive, Sebastian is burdened with
guilt over the consequences and costs of the curse afflicting them.
In their search of answers to their mysterious curse, they are led to the dark, traditional
boarding school, Ottmannsgård, where they suddenly find themselves juggling
everyday teen life with their instinctive urges.
Heartless is a fantasy series the content of which is variations on the themes of ‘original
sin’ and ‘young love’.
Review:
‘Heartless works because it is beautifully put together and because it arouses our
curiosity. Cunningly we never know more than Sebastian and Sofie; we want to solve
their mystery as desperately as they do. Meanwhile the series explores the classic
teenage issues of first love, sex, family ties, and those utterly existential questions: who
am I? Where do I come from? What will become of me? All these things are enriched by
the mysterious, supernatural setting in which anything is possible…’. Berlingske Tidende

THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN
EARS
A fast paced, upbeat dramedy about
fortunes and misfortunes in the music
industry which seems so polished to
the spectator. A closer look is filled with
ragged edges, lies and absurdities. It is a
world in which people will go to extremes
to get their fifteen minutes of fame, often
putting themselves in situations, which
are completely and utterly hilarious.
ALBUM
A series of snapshots from the histories
of three families. It is like leafing through
a photo album and seeing the pictures
we would like to see, but also those we
would prefer to forget about because
they contain too much sorrow and pain.
The three families do not really know
each other. Nevertheless they impacted
on each other’s lives over three decades
from 1970 to 2000.
BETTER TIMES
The story of four young people
determined to conquer the world when
events take off in 1949. Their love stories,
dreams, hopes, disappointments and
victories are the focus of the series. It is
also the story of the advent of television
from those pioneering visions of culture
and public information to the unruly child
it became as society changed.
THE SPIDER
The Spider takes viewers back to the
time just after the occupation—1949
more precisely—and post-war
Copenhagen. Denmark was still suffering
from shortages and the more or less
shady commercial transactions of the
occupation, but the country was also
preparing to enter the more orderly
1950s. It was an age full of trickery and
fraud, lawlessness and corruption.

HAPPY LIFE
A multi-plot dramedy about ambitions
and suppressed emotions, about the
hazy order between dreams and reality
and about the pursuit of happiness and
the organized life, where you can plan for
everything − except chance. The twins,
Lykke and Thomas, share a tragic past,
but have dealt with their situation in very
different ways…
Time travel, divorce, love and secret
agents from the future
Time Travel is an action-packed
adventure about a teenage girl, Sofie,
whose biggest wish is for her divorced
parents to get back together again
In an effort to reunite them before
Christmas, she and her friend from the
future go back in time and into the future
in order to alter events in the past. But
she soon learns that tinkering with one’s
fate can have disastrous consequences.
Time Travel is about 13-year-old sciencegeek Sofie, whose one wish for the
holidays is to reunite her divorced
parents by December 24, in time to
celebrate Christmas together again as a
family.
With the help of her grandfather, Sofie
gets the ability to time-travel and thereby
change what happened to her parents’
marriage.
But upon her return to the present (2014),
after a trip back in time to 1984, she
discovers that the changes have had
disastrous consequences, not only for
her younger brother and parents, but for
the entire provincial town in which she
lives.
Sofie, along with her antithesis and
companion in time-travel, the rebel
and punk Dixie, must now put right the
problems they have created, which will
take our two protagonists thirty years into
the future.

The summer holidays have just begun.
Markus and Rosanna arrive in a little
town where they are to spend their
summer and expect three months of
arguments and bullying. Markus and
Teele who lives in there, are sure they
will be as boring as ever…
But then a series of seemingly unrelated
events suddenly take place in the little
town and the four children are dragged
into events that originated in the 15th
century in the local Bishop’s stronghold.
Herman Krookus, the well-known
antiques collector suffers a robbery and
his many precious clocks are stolen. In
the forest a Bernese Cattle Dog is found,
tied up and left to die and the famous
photographer Stig Velson has come
ostensibly to create a photo series of
the old bishop’s castle and the ruins in
the town.
One night when Karl and Markus go to

Sofus
Sofus the dog, understands all children’s
languages and travels around the world
to meet them. In every episode he lands
his parachute in a new and unknown
place to meet the child he is going to
spend the rest of the day with. And it is
going to be a great day
Sofus is curious and takes part in
everything. He plays, goes shopping,
and eats dinner with the children. He
sides with the child in the little everyday
dramas. He bonds with his new friend,
and after a long day they fall asleep
together. Every child in the world has a
relationship to a stuffed toy, and the way
in which the children bond with Sofus,
play with him and let him comfort them,
is universal. In the series we learn how
children in countries around the world
live in many different ways, share feelings
and similar dreams. This could be the
feeling of sadness, when you have no
one to play with, anger when someone
takes your things, pride when you solve
a challenge, or fear of the dark. Sofus
relates and takes part, but the focus is
on the children Sofus meets and the
little dramas that take place. The world is
full of differences, but the documentary
sequences and scenes we experience
tell emotionally universal stories that all
children can relate to.

For each program, two best friends

Each program starts with a presentation

set of nature and/or shelter preservation

Naturens Orden
Science brings us ever closer to the
perfect human being. But what if you
are not perfect at all?
The stand-up comedian Jacob Nossell is
spastic. He could have been ‘deselected’
by scientists and his parents before he
even was born. And realistically, he is
now a burden on society and at best
an interesting case for scientists to
study. When the world looks at Jacob,
they see the physically handicapped
spastic body and not the person trapped
inside the body. With an intact intellect
in a damaged body, Jacob is a living
demonstration of the dilemma of defining
‘normality’ – he is too handicapped to be
accepted as normal - and too normal to
accept himself as handicapped.
On a quest to understand his own lot in
life, he decides to challenge what being
normal means, as well as challenging his
own lack of skills. He wants to play an
active part in his own life and puts on one
nerve-racking sold-out show at The Royal
Theatre.
The film follows Jacob on his quest among
family, scientists and the audience, trying
to figure out what the meaning of life is for
him and others like him. But he is forced to
face his own limits, when he gets knocked
down by his own intangible fate as well as
by a real-life number 1A bus.

In this deeply touching documentary,
we go back to Sierra Leone to follow the
work at one of many orphanages trying to
make a difference. Will the social workers
manage to find a new home for Kadiatu?
MonaLisa’s days were like most people’s:
She would take care of her kids, cook
meals for her family and spend time at
the playground with them. She would go
to work as a teacher and she loves music.
But one day all that changes. She sinks
into a deep depression, loses the will
to live and starts self-medicating… with
How could things deteriorate like this?
Why? Early memories churn and burn
inside her. MonaLisa was born high. She
was taken away from her parents and put
into an institution. Her only option is to
break free from the past once and for all,
but the pull of the drug that takes away all
her pain is too strong.
After years of drug abuse, she meets
Fredrik, another soul marked by his
background. They decide to put their
faith in love, to fight their addiction and
to make their dreams come true.
We closely follow the ups and downs in
MonaLisa’s life over the course of eight
years. The result is a poignant and unique
tale of a different kind of reality in our
midst. It is an ode to love, a mournful
blues and an honest portrait that will
draw you in and deeply touch your heart.

A life of prostitution
Bonnie was 18 when she began working as
a prostitute. After her first client she cried
endlessly, but a few days later it became
easier and she could use the money
for a vacation to the Caribbean. Today,
twenty years later, Bonnie still works as

Bonnie is sick and her body is weak. She

she continues her self-destructive course –
she can not stop.
Bonnie and the Thousand Men is an

the very hard and vulnerable life working
as a prostitute for more than 2 decades – a
life that is only bearable with the strong
support of family and friends and where
the dream of a new beginning is never far

The story of two jazz giants who are
forced to relocate to a musical small town
In the mid-1960s, tenor saxophone stars
Ben Webster and Dexter Gordon leave
behind America and its fierce political
climate – as well as a long trail of heavy
alcohol and heroin abuse.
They are in desperate need of help as
they travel to Europe. When they reach
Copenhagen, they find what they need: A
caring jazz-loving population who greets
the two tenor sax players as musical saviors.
They are getting paid after jobs and the
Danish women are more than happy to
make the musicians feel at home. They are
even given free rehab sessions.
The film’s visual backbone consists
of Ben Webster’s own 8MM footage
which resurfaces here for the first time.
Furthermore, the film contains numerous
rare clips with the two jazz greats.

Sumé’s political songs were the first to be
recorded in the Greenlandic language - a
language that prior to Sumé did not have
words for “oppression” or “revolution”.

When representatives of Greece’s third
largest political party get thrown in jail
for allegedly leading a neo-Nazi criminal
organization, what happens to their
family members, and to the party itself?
The Golden Dawn Case is a political thriller
shot from inside of Greece’s right wing
party Golden Dawn. After the detainment
of several Golden Dawn MPs, we follow
their family members including the Party
leader Nikos Michaloliakos’ daughter
Ourania, through the trial proceedings
and the chaotic situation in Greece, as
they struggle to save their fathers, sons,
and husbands from a maximum possible
jail sentence of 20 years for accusations of
racist violence and conspiracy of murder.
They claim that the accusations are false
– and that the unfair imprisonment is part
of a wider Jewish conspiracy. Do they
really believe this? Are they lying to the
public or to themselves?
While party leaders are behind bars the
women engage actively in the political
work of keeping Golden Dawn alive. But
will the neo-Nazi party survive its lack of
leadership as prosecutors attempt to put
an end to Golden Dawn, or will the hype
surrounding the court case generate
even more public support for the party?

Transformation is a film about three
persons who have made a conscious
decision about never to return to jail or
prison and what it takes for people who
are incarcerated to transform their lives
when living in a gangster world
In California 70% will end up in jail again
within three years after their release.
What does it take to beat the statistics?
How do you transform yourself and
what can the system do to facilitate this
transformation?
The film will show an intimate portrait of
the characters’ lives in South Central LA
from the end of their sentences to after
they are released and the challenges they
will encounter on the outside.
One of the main characters is Brian who
has spent the last 24 years in prison.
He was released in 2014. Having been
a member of the “Crips”, one of the
most brutal gangs in L.A., he used and
dealt drugs, stole cars, robbed innocent
people, and ultimately killed a man.
After four long years and thanks to
advancement in DNA research, especially in
the area of familial DNA where you are able
to detect someone’s ethnicity, facial features
or even family relations, Latizia has now
managed to track down the killer and her
personal journey is soon to be completed.

A film about an Afghan girl and her
family, who were denied asylum and now
await deportation
Rokhsar Sediqi is 14 years old and in
the 7th grade. She lives with her mom,
dad and five siblings in a small village in
Denmark. In her spare time she plays for
the local soccer team.
It has been almost five years since Rokhsar
and her family fled Afghanistan. After six
months of illegal border crossing through
Europe, they ended up in Denmark where
they applied for asylum. But the Danish
Immigration Service questions whether
they are in fact being persecuted by the
Taliban in Afghanistan and denied the
family asylum several times. Now Rokhsar
and her family will be deported. This
means that they are currently staying in
Denmark illegally and will be sent back any
day now.

THE GREATEST PARTY ON EARTH
THE QUATRARO MYSTERY
Every good party leaves a few hangovers.
This one left a country reeling, never to
recover
In 1971, the Shah of Iran, the selfproclaimed “King of Kings”, celebrated
2,500 years of the Persian monarchy by
throwing the greatest party known in
history.
Money was no object; an international
airport and 80 km of motorway were built
to reach the desert venue at the ancient
ruins of Persepolis where a lavish oasis
was created, herein including 50,000
songbirds imported from Europe.
But it was more than just a party. For
the Shah, it affirmed his absolutist glory.
Internationally, it aimed to win Iran a place
at the top of nations. Internally and fatally,
its pre-Islamic theme was a blatant twofingers to Iran’s Muslim hierarchy, the only
group with the power to challenge the Shah

COLD CASE HAMMARSKJÖLD
“Dag Hammarskjöld was on the point
of getting something done when they
killed him. Notice that I said, `when they
killed him’.” Harry S. Truman, former U.S.
President
In 1961, Secretary General of the UN, Dag
Hammarskjöld, died in a plane crash
in Northern Rhodesia. He was en route
to ceasefire negotiations between non
combatant UN forces and troops from the
breakaway state of Katanga. He was both
popular and controversial, taking a stance
in the fight against colonialism in times of
instability and the Cold War. What started as
conspiracy theories involving conglomerates
fighting for minerals and metal resources
has evolved into a growing consensus that
Hammarskjöld and 15 other people were shot
down, inciting the UN to reopen the case on
the suspicion of assassination.

Supplying the driest part of the earth
with fresh water
Engineer Bill Watts wants to create a water
infrastructure in the Arabic desert, thus
being able to supply fresh water, food,
energy and jobs to a region desperate
for any viable new solutions. The idea is
simple – take saltwater into the desert,
evaporate it by means of the sun, and
create fresh water. But it is 50 degrees in
the sun and it seems that every drop of
fresh water requires a drop of sweat.
Global demand for water is growing while
at the same time the world’s available
freshwater levels are dropping at alarming
rates. More than a 1.5 billion people live
in water-stressed areas. And the Middle
East is drying up. Water scarcity is causing
severe political and regional tensions, and
some even think that the next war in the
region will be a war for water.

has become a huge, internationallyorchestrated, highly profitable criminal
business. As a result, fake drugs are also
a growing threat to public health. There
are no easy ways to fight this menace, as
it pervades so many layers of society and
bureaucracy.
Cecilia Fant, Intelligence officer and
head of the Interpol Operation Pangea,
has a mission: to stem the vast flow of
illegal drugs. She has abandoned her
family life and works around the clock
with her colleagues from different
parts of the world, trying to create the

KILLING PILLS
VENUS - NAKED FEMALE CONFESSIONS
A film on the sexual frustration of growing
up in what is purported to be a sexually
liberated society
Female sexuality is too often portrayed in
stereotypes, leaving women with a scant
vocabulary. Venus offers an authentic
alternative perspective on how modern
females perceive themselves.
Venus is a candid bedroom portrait of fifteen
young women who record their own erotic
diaries. Finally the five most exciting, off-beat
and brave of them will re-enact and re-live
their most memorable sexual experiences.
Denmark is celebrated for being the first
country in the world to legalize porn and
continues to enjoy a widespread reputation
for sexual open-mindedness. This film
will reveal if this still holds good for new
generations.
A documentary film about the dark side
of the EU
Two journalists set out to investigate why
the Maltese EU Commissioner of Health,
John Dalli, recently had to leave the
Commission in disgrace amidst a storm of
accusations of being in the pockets of Big
Tobacco.
Faced with closed doors at the
Commission and disturbing news about
how Brussels NGOs fighting the tsunami
of lobbyism by tobacco corporations had
their offices burgled by unknown, almost
ninja-like perpetrators, the two reporters
decide instead to investigate an old, long
forgotten possible fraud case involving EU
Commission civil servant Antonio Quatraro,
who died under mysterious circumstances
while facing similar accusations.
