Dura Deck Type 295 Teak
Dura Composites supplied over 800m2 of
Dura Deck Type 295 which was chosen
because of its’ ease of installation. The Type
295 double width planks can halve installation
time and have specially designed sub-surface
fixings which make it barefoot friendly,
uniform and safe for all shoe types.

Dura Deck is produced from Wood
Plastic Composite (WPC) which is
manufactured by an extrusion
process using a mix of recycled
plastics and hardwood with various
bespoke additives.
WPC is an immensely versatile
material which combines the
traditional appearance of timber with
the durability and resilience of an
engineered composite.
Dura Deck is the ideal solution for
public areas such as Parks, Outside
Refreshment Bars, Walkways,
Verandahs, Promenades, Balconies,
Bridges, Conservatories, Patios and
Pool Decking.
Commercial enterprises such as
Holiday Parks, Leisure Centres and
Theme Parks can benefit in the
short and long term by fitting Dura
Deck to those areas where safety
standards are an important factor.

Dura Deck doesn’t need any staining or
painting. In fact, after installation, the deck
needs only basic cleaning and doesn’t
suffer from warping or rotting. Dura Deck
is UV Certified to ISO 4892-2 and so will
survive even the harshest of climates.

Benefits
E
The client had tried two different
varieties of natural timber for his
backyard deck, around a pool, close to
the beach. The salty air had destroyed
both timbers within months, causing
warping, fading and splitting. Dura
Composites Australasia supplied Dura
Deck Type 146 in teak, solving the
maintenance issues for the client
instantly. The client was so impressed
he extended the deck to other areas of
the backyard. Salt water and air pose
no problem for Dura Composites’
timber composite and the deck still
looks as good as it did the day it was
installed.
Check out our videos on You Tube to see
how easy Dura Deck and Dura Tiles are to
install.
Its’ innovative subsurface fixing system
means no nail or screws need to go through
the deck itself, creating a smart, uniform and
barefoot friendly deck.

Previous Installations
Below Surface Fixing
Due to the excellent below surface fixing system, no
screws or nails need to be used through the decking
surface. The result is a decking without screw or nail
heads working loose on the walking surface. Therefore
dangers of injury when walking barefoot are eliminated.
The Below Surface fixings also automatically space the
correct gap between each board for that uniform
appearance.

General Information
Dura Deck composite decking boards
are produced with a hollow core centre
which creates exceptional strength and
lightness. Every board has a recess
moulded into each edge which accepts a
heavy duty hold down clip, creating a
Below Surface secure fixing, using 8g
and 10g stainless steel colour coded
screws. The result is a fully professional
10
screw and nail free appearance with full
bare foot safety.
Manufactured from polyethylene based
resins, reclaimed hardwood, and finished
with an attractive hardwearing anti-slip
finish. Dura Deck eliminates rot, algae
growth, discolouration and significantly
reduces the risk of slipping in wet
conditions.
Dura Deck and Dura Tile are
manufactured from recycled and
sustainable materials, yet gives the
appearance of traditional hardwood
timber. Due to its advanced material
composition and unique design it is able
to span up to 700mm, meeting most of
today’s requirements set by architects,
designers and specifiers.
Dura Tile Interlocking Decking Tiles
Quick lay system, no
fixings required
Featuring the Interlocking system,
each tile can be attached to the
next in seconds and will enhance
and add value to balcony decks,
roof terraces, patios, verandahs,
conservatories, restaurant
terraces and swimming pool
decking. The tiles can be laid in
two directions to create a unique
pattern. The Interlocking tile
joining system is easy to lay and
large areas can be installed
quickly. Excellent savings can be
made as no fixings are required.
