Graduated from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica
(CCC) of Mexico City in 1995, she specialized in film directing.
Since 2005, she has taught at CCC and has also served as counselor in the area of direction. Cinco días sin Nora (Five Days
Without Nora) produced in 2008 was her first feature film as
director and writer, winner of the Audience Award at Morelia
International Film Festival and Miami International Film Festival. She also won the Best Direction Award at Moscu International Film Festival, Best Script Award at the Skip City Festival
in Japan and Best First Feature Award at Expresión en Corto
Festival in Guanajuato. Her first feature was also selected as an
Opening Film for Latin Beat Festival in New York, winner of
“El Abrazo” Award for the Best Feature Film in Biarritz France
and winner for the Best First Feature and Best Direction at Los
Angeles Latino International Film Festival.

Studied film direction at Centro Universitario de Estudios
Cinematográficos, UNAM (1992-1996). Started his career directing music videoclips and short films. His feature debut in
Mexican cinema was with Temporada de patos (Duck Season)
in 2004, which won several awards including the Ariel Award
(Mexican Oscar) for Best Film. His latest film, Lake Tahoe was
positively received at Berlin International Film Festival, winning
the FIPRESCI Award and the Alfred Bauer Award. At Cartagena International Film Festival he received the India Catalina
Award, he was also the winner of the Semilla Award for Best
Feature Film at Cero Latitud in Ecuador. Also, he also won for
Best Direction at Guadalajara International Film Festival.

Is a self-taught filmmaker from the city of Guanajuato, Mexico.
Began to devote himself completely to cinema at the age of 15.
After completing two short films, he wrote and directed his
first feature, Sangre, shot in his native Guanajuato. This film
premiered in the Official Selection Un Certain Regard of the
Cannes Film Festival 2005, where it received the FIPRESCI
Prize. His second film Los bastardos (The Bastards) was also
premiered at the Official Selection Un Certain Regard of the
Cannes Film Festival 2008. In addition, he won the New Visions Award at the Sitges International Film Festival, the Best
Film Award at the Morelia International Film Festival and the
Best Ibero-American Film at Mar del Plata Film Festival. He
also won the Critics Award at Lima Latin American Film Festival and the Student Jury and Best Director Awards at Bratislava
International Film Festival.
Lucio spends the weekend with his grandmother and his cousins preparing his flag salute for school. The visit of his rebellious cousin Omar will make him reflect on the true meaning of
patriotic actions and symbols.

At the age of 18 he went to study acting at the Central School
of Speech and Drama in London. Director Alejandro González
Iñárritu tracked him down and offered him a part in Amores Perros. Subsequently, García Bernal starred in some of Mexico’s most
celebrated recent films, including Y tu mamá también (2001) and
El crimen del padre Amaro (2002). In 2004 he starred as a young
Che Guevara in The Motorcycle Diaries, and in Pedro Almodovar’s “Bad Education”. He has worked with Michel Gondry, Lukas
Moodyson, Hector Babenco and Jim Jarmusch. García Bernal also
directed his first feature film, Déficit, which premiered at Semaine
International de la Critique in Cannes 2007. He participated as
one of the directors in the Project 8 along with Gaspar Noé, Gus
Van Sant and Wim Wenders wich premiered as an Opening Film
at Rome International Film Festival. He recently starred in Rudo
y Cursi (2008) with Diego Luna, directed by Carlos Cuarón.

Rodrigo Garcia grew up in Mexico City and studied at The
American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His first film as writer
and director, Things you can tell just by looking at her, (starring Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Cameron Diaz) opened
Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival 2000 and won
the Fondation Gan award for best film in that category. Other
credits as writer/director include Ten Tiny Love Stories, and
Nine Lives (Winner Best Film Locarno Film Festival 2005).
Other feature film projects include Passengers (2008) starring
Anne Hathaway and the upcoming Mother and Child starring
Annette Bening, Naomi Watts and Samuel L. Jackson. He has
directed for the series Six Feet Under and The Sopranos and his
pilot credits include Carnivale, Big Love and Six Degrees. He is
Executive Producer of the HBO series In Treatment.
After having had another heated fight with the mother of his
child, Daniel goes to his beach-side property in search of his
lost dreams and memories. Once there, he realizes the dreams
and memories he originally thought he was chasing, only exist
at home, with his family. Being so far away from those he loves,
Daniel is submerged into deep pain and anguish as he faces the
possibility of losing them.

Diego Luna was introduced to worldwide audiences with his starring
role in the award-winning Y tu mamá también (2001), alongside lifelong friend Gael García Bernal for director Alfonso Cuarón. Luna’s additional feature films include Harmony Korine’s Mister Lonely, Before
Night Falls for director Julian Schnabel, Criminal for Stephen Soderbergh and George Clooney’s Section Eight Productions, The Terminal
for director Steven Spielberg and Frida opposite Salma Hayek for director Julie Taymor. Luna most recently reunited as an actor with Gael
García Bernal in Carlos Cuaron’s Rudo y Cursi. Last year, he starred
in award-winning Milk opposite Sean Penn for director Gus Van Sant.
He goes behind the camera as a director for a second time with Abel
this year, his fictional directorial debut, which was premiered at Sundance Film Festival (2010). Previously, he directed the documentary JC
Chavez that premiered at 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.
Two workers, The Turc and The Rat, run away from their violent
past. When they reach the highway, they have to take
a risk to continue.

Started working on film criticism and in 1997 directed his first
short film Perro Negro. Naranjo holds an MFA in Film Direction at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His thesis
The Last Attack of the Beast won several awards and much
critical acclaim. It acted as a springboard for his debut feature
film Malachance (2004). The next year he co-wrote and starred
in Azazel Jacobs’ The Good Times Kid (2005). His sophomore
effort, Drama/Mex, premiered at Cannes in May 2006 for the
Semaine de la Critique before going on to screen at fifty more
festivals around the world. Naranjo´s new film I’m Gonna Explode premiered at the 65th Venice Biennale in 2008 and was
officially selected at the 46th New York Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Berlinale (Generation Program) and won the
FIPRESCI Award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
The grandson of Pancho Villa has been invited to part-take in
the one hundred year celebration of the Mexican Revolution.
However, his expectation have fizzled to a mere scandalous void
left by such a historic event.

Film director and screenwriter, studied at Centro de Capacitación
Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico. He won a Student Oscar for his
short film The Eye On The Nape. His feature debut with the thriller The Zone, led him to win Best Directorial Debut at the Venice
festival and was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize in Toronto that same
year. His second feature film, the drama The Desert Within, was
selected as the closing film of the Critics’ Week at the Cannes IFF
2008. It received eight Ariel Awards from the Mexican Academy of
Film Arts and Sciences, as well as the Audience Award, the Mezcal
Award and five Mayahuel Awards (Best Feature Film, Best Script,
Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Cinematography) at Guadalajara’s
Mexican Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Prize in Haifa and the Special
Jury Award at Amiens International Film Festival.

Became a lawyer in Mexico and specialized in armed conflict law in London. He worked for the european commission and was a member of the
the mexican foreign service. Between 1998 and 1999, Reygadas made
four shorts in Belgium learning film in a self taught manner after being
rejected from Film School in Brussels. In 2000 he shot his first feature film, Japan. The film was presented at the Rotterdam Film Festival
and received a special mention for the Caméra D’or Award at the 2002
Cannes Film Festival, as well various other prizes. He presented Battle
In Heaven in 2005, which was selected for competition in Cannes and
won the FIPRESCI prize at Río de Janeiro International Film Festival
among others. In 2007 his film Stellet Licht competed once more for
the Palme D’or At The Cannes Film Festival winning the Jury Award. He
also won the Grand Prize At Riga International Film Forum ‘arsenals’,
the Golden Colón At Huelva Latin American Film Festival, the Grand
Coral - first prize and Best Director at Havana Film Festival, the Gold
Hugo at Chicago International Film Festival, The Jury Award at Bergen
International Film festival, among others.
This is the story of Elisa, whose father’s last wish is to be buried in
Mexico. Elisa, an American citizen, doesn’t understand why her father
wants to be buried in a country that forced him to emigrate in order to
survive. Upon Elisa’s arrival to her father’s village she understands how
little is left from the Mexican Revolution in which her grandfather
fought, however she discovers the value of the homeland and why it is
worth it to go back.

Was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and holds an MFA in Film
Direction from Columbia University. Her first short film, La
Milpa (The Cornfield), screened in more than 30 film festivals
and won the Mexican Academy Award, the DGA Student Filmmaker Award and the Gold Medal from the Student Academy
Awards. Her next film, Family Portrait, won the Jury Price in
Short Filmmaking at Sundance in 2005 and Best Documentary
Film at the Aspen Short Film Festival, among other awards. In
2007 she premiered her first feature film La misma luna (Under
the Same Moon), at the Sundance Film Festival, which later
became a huge box office success in Mexico and the USA.
