Kudos to Criminal Justice Program
Nicholas P. Marocchini, currently
enrolled at Asnuntuck Community College, was selected to intern
during the 2014 Legislative Session. Nicholas was assigned to
the Transportation Committee
and assists State Senator Andrew
Maynard of the 18th Senatorial
District. The Legislative began
on February 5th and goes through
May 2nd. During this time, Nicholas will have tasks including bill
analysis & tracking, constituent
casework, liaison work, and extensive research. He will attend
screenings, committee meetings,
and public hearings. Nicholas

and becoming a corporate attorney.
The Asnuntuck Community College Criminal Justice Program received recognition from the Enfield 4th of
July Town Celebration committee, at its recent annual dinner. Several of the past and current Asnuntuck
Criminal Justice students volunteered as security service providers at the three-day 2013 celebration. The
event needs security support 24 hours a day during the celebration, and depends on the reliability of the
volunteers to maintain a safe environment for visitors, participants and vendors.
Criminal Justice students were recognized for a job well done. Also recognized was Tim Benjamin (ACC
CJ Class of 2011) as “Rookie of the Year.” Mr. Benjamin, who recently graduated from the Department of
Correction Training Academy, was cited for his leadership on the 2013 Enfield Celebration security team.
This was Tim’s second year as a volunteer at the event. Pictured in the photo (from left to right), Chris
