We use only high-quality materials from certified manufacturers in our plate heat exchangers. These
materials are processed using the most modern machines to create technically superior and visually
appealing products. In addition to cost efficiency, our corporate mission is to ensure both the safety
and the protection of people and the environment.
A comprehensive quality management system guarantees the consistently high product safety of
our thermoline plate heat exchangers. Development, design, production and sales are certified in
accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, PED 97/23/EC. It goes without saying that we also
produce our products in line with international standards such as AD2000, ASME, CRN and

Variety of materials for every application
The resistance of the plate material in a heat exchanger is put to severe tests both internally and externally. This is
because pressure, temperature and medium – depending on the application – place stringent demands on the materials used.

Our plate types allow up to six different gaps between the plates. This enables ideal adaptation to the needs of our

oil seeds and fruits. From vegetable raw
material to oil, our apparatuses are used

For example, thermowave plate heat
exchangers are used for cooling and
heating sunflower oil, rapeseed oil and
rapeseed methyl ester, as distillate coolers, ester heaters and also as heaters for
glycerol.

satisfy the strictest requirements with respect to hygiene and food safety, be it

are resistant to the necessary cleaning

The frames come in stainless steel cladding
or are fully made of stainless steel, and
the plates are either made of stainless
steel or of titanium. A top-class finish
with a glass bead blasted or polished surface prevents even the smallest deposits.

Material selection
We use a wide range of standard and
special materials for our plates, e.g.
titanium (GR1) and SMO254. In addition, thermowave offers you two different
material thicknesses (0.6/ 0.8 mm).

Testing

Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellerei
The installed thermowave beer pasteuriser (flash pasteuriser) integrates cooler, heat recovery (93 percent) and heater. Height-adjustable sanitary feet ensure simple and level
positioning of the machine. Adaptation to a heat recovery
level of 96 percent was requested by the customer in this
instance.
In the heart of the northern-most German wine region,
Saale-Unstrut, you will find sparkling wine producer
Rotkäppchen Sektkellerei. This is where Germany‘s
most popular sparkling wine is produced in a multilevel
production process.
Thanks to the large frame and long carrying bar, additional
plates can be added on and the capacity can thereby be
extended with ease. The high heat recovery level ensures
optimal energy savings.
thermowave plate heat exchangers are used as ammonia
evaporators for cooling glycol, which is then later used in
various cooling processes. The cooling capacity is 650 kW.
Krones AG
AIDA
The 3-stage plate heat exchanger is integrated in a sterile
water UHT system. The objective here is to sterilise prepared water so that it can be made available for various machines for the aseptic filling of beverages. Multi-stage plate
heat exchangers pose a special challenge in terms of their
design, material selection, construction and production.
The AIDAblue, operated by the shipping company Aida Cruises and measuring 252 m in length, is the world‘s first cruise
ship to have its own brewery on board. A thermowave plate
heat exchanger from the thermolinePure range has been integrated in the brewing process to ensure a trouble-free beer
production as efficient as possible. A particular challenge
here was posed by the requirements placed on technical
equipment in shipbuilding, i.e. space-saving design and
ship-specific fixtures in line with the U.S. health authorities
standards (USPH Standard).
Ideally equipped thanks to 20 years of know-how, we were
able to offer a multi-stage section machine which combines
an excellent price/performance ratio with short delivery
times and hygienic design.
TL 90 thermowave plate heat exchanger with its compact
design, low weight and excellent flexibility in terms of subsequent capacity extensions is ideally equipped to meet these
demands.
