Email Integration
emaGEN is fully integrated with Microsoft
Outlook as well as any POP3 email client
application, allowing you to retrieve all your
voice mail and fax messages right from
your PC.
Fax Manager
Faxes are stored in a user’s mailbox to be
accessed either through a GUI or TUI
interface. Using the GUI interface, faxes are
viewed in the user’s email client application.
Alternately, faxes may be accessed via the TUI interface and
manipulated using a touchtone telephone. TUI fax manipulation
includes rerouting to an internal extension number (such as an
in-house fax machine), external number (like a hotel fax number),
or saving the fax for viewing later from the user’s GUI interface in
the office.
Speech Recognition
This sophisticated option provides a caller with the ability to speak the name
or department to be connected to. Speech Recognition also allows a
mailbox user to directly access their mailbox using a “keyword” plus
their name.

Fax on Demand provides for faxes to be stored in the emaGEN as
a Fax Library, which provides access to forms, directions, maps, sales
and technical documents, 24 hours a day, by either internal or
external users.
Text-To-Speech
The emaGEN Text-To-Speech (TTS) optional
module enables the user to listen to his email
messages over a telephone connection. The Telrad
Connegy emaGEN extends this sophisticated technology
to all the voice channels in the system, not just a few
isolated ports, as is common in most call processing systems.

This optional call accounting package helps
control telephone abuse in the workplace.
It can track number dialed, length of call, trunk
used, etc. Predefined reports may be selected
for ease of use with the user just entering sitespecific parameters.

Upon selecting a message type from
the Visual List, all messages of the
selected type are viewed, and can be
retrieved in the order of importance
to the user, not necessarily in the order
in which they were received. This unique
degree of personal control greatly
enhances the user's efficiency in dealing
with important matters first.
Call Control
Visual call control gives the user the tools necessary to
manage calls being routed to his station through the
automated attendant function of the emaGEN. The
management of these calls includes viewing the incoming Caller ID, accepting the call, placing the caller
on hold before answering, sending the caller directly to
voice mail, redirecting the caller to another user on the
system, or rerouting the caller to an external telephone
number.

The emaGEN Fax option also allows users to send faxes directly from
their desktop. The emaGEN is simply selected as the printer instead of
a regular paper printer. A screen then appears, prompting the user to
enter the telephone number of the destination fax machine.
IVR
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) helps automate routine
transactions using the emaGEN system. Touchtones from
the caller interact with a database to retrieve stored
information. Telrad Connegy works with the end user,
dealer and programmer to ensure the scope of the
project is defined and met.
