Loll Designs understands the relationship between the outdoor furniture we manufacture and the ability to enjoy it in a healthy environment. We are committed to efficient and responsible use and reuse of manufacturing materials and committed to creating long-lasting products made with recycled materials and components and packaging that is made in the USA. Through sustainable business practices we create a positive and rewarding work environment for our employees and foster a sense of pride in what we do. With a global view we work locally through donations and volunteering to better our community. Adirondack Rocker Cabrio Lounge We believe the entire process of our manufacturing needs to be truly sustainable. • Primary Material. Our USA-sourced material is recycled and recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), primarily from milk jugs. Approximately 8 milk jugs are reclaimed per pound. Since 2005, Loll Designs has repurposed over 18 million milk jugs. • Consolidated Production. We run our production schedule to combine multiple orders together, which best utilizes raw material yield and creates better efficiencies with less waste. Virtually all waste is recycled locally. • Shipping. Loll ships all products knocked down, flat packed with recycled packaging materials. Shipping our products knocked down also creates better shipping efficiencies. Loll also offsets its carbon footprint by paying a fee to Carbonfund.org. HAWKSBOOTS Our headquarters, the HawksBoots Sustainable Manufacturing Facility, has won accolades by Architectural Record and Architecture MN for its greening of a brownfield site, the refurbishment of an existing building, and the use of environmental design in a rooftop office addition. ECO INITIATIVES Loll is dedicated to reducing the footprint we are making on this planet. • 1% for the Planet. 1% For The Planet is a growing global movement of 1,385 companies that donate 1% of their sales to a network of 3,081 environmental organizations worldwide. In our 5th year of participation, Loll contributes to thinking globally by acting locally with our donations. • Annual Tree Planting. Starting in 2008, Loll staff has taken a field day each year and gone out to plant trees. All of us here are concerned with keeping our environment not only vibrant, but clean, healthy and beautiful too. We try to find places that are in need of watershed restoration and by providing some of what’s needed in the form of trees and shrubs we become a constructive part of restoring our local ecosystem. • Carbonfund.org. “Reduce what you can, Offset what you can’t.” We can’t agree more with this statement from the Carbonfund. Loll has joined-up with Carbonfund.org to help offset the carbon emissions generated by shipping our products with carbon-reducing projects such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects. Loll pays a fee to Carbonfund for every package shipped to offset the carbon generated during shipping. Carbonfund uses that money to fund their carbon offset projects. • WindSense. Loll partners with local power company, Minnesota Power, to buy electricity that is wind-generated by subscribing for blocks of wind energy for a surcharge. • Made in the USA. Loll materials and products are entirely made in the USA. We employ approximately 32 full time employees. Loll now offers over 150 unique products in 9 different colors. Our products are ideal for residential and commercial applications alike as they are durable, all-weather, and maintenance free. TrueRide’s founders started with a commitment to environmental responsibility and they found ways to repurpose leftover skate park material as Loll Designs outdoor furniture (lolldesigns.com). Loll was officially launched in 2006. Virginia Beach, VA Warrens, WI Alsip, IL
