Notes
A. Installation to be performed in unbroken concrete or Asphalt.
B. Installation time will be related to Epoxy Cure Time.
C. A special epoxy is available for extreme cold conditions with shorter
cure time in the cold.
2
Layout Placement and Marking
A. Layout and mark final location using Rubber Disk as a guide.
Note; keep a distance of 7” away from any concrete or Asphalt edges.
B. Allow 2 feet away from any solid object at top of BumperSign to allow for
tilting during impacts.
C. Trace circle around the slotted holes of Rubber disk onto floor.
3
Drill two holes.
A. Center the 1” diameter carbide drill bit over
ground mark and drill holes to a depth of 6-1/4”
max using a SDS MAX Hammer drill. Important:
Use tape measure to confirm 11-1/2” c-c before
making second hole.
B. Make sure 3-1/2” is exposed on Anchor Rod.
C. Clean holes with 1” diameter wire brush and
vacuum. Check depth of 6-1/4” max one more
time.
D. Remove any dust and debris from and around
holes.
4
Secure 3/4-10 x 9.75” Anchor Rods to Ground with Epoxy
Ensure proper mixing color (uniform gray color) before
dispensing into holes. Dispense epoxy, starting from the bottom
of hole to prevent air pockets. Withdraw nozzle as hole fills up.
One epoxy cartridge will be used for two holes. Immediately
after dispensing epoxy into one hole, Insert 3/4-10 x 9.75”
Anchor rod, turning clockwise until bottoming out in fixing hole.
Tip: Slide the 1/8” thick metal washer on each threaded rod and
push down flush with ground to help squeeze excess epoxy.
Note; It’s easier to let epoxy hardened to remove excess.
Important:
1. Avoid slip, trip and falls by locating traffic safety cones
over the exposed threaded rods until fully cure.
2. Allow epoxy to fully cure.
3. Check epoxy cure times at current temperature; see
chart.
DO NOT MOVE OR APPLY LOAD UNTIL EPOXY IS FULLY
CURED!

Secure Steel Core System to 3/4-10 Anchor Rods
 Make sure the oblong holes on the post are facing the front and
that the post is centered with base plate.
 Slide and hand tighten 3/4-10 Nylon Lock Nuts on Threaded
Rods.
 Tighten the nylon lock nuts using a regular wrench or Torque
wrench with a 1-1/16” deep socket until flush on both sides.
 Once flush on both sides, continue to tighten anchors evenly
until damper squeezes and the entire system feels strong and
solid.
 Important: grasp the post with your hands and do a shake test
to ensure Core System is secured tightly to the ground in all
directions.
 The use of a torque wrench might be needed to ensure a
maximum of 40 foot/pounds torque is applied to the nylon lock
nuts.
Do not over tighten bolts.
Note: if the threaded rod spins during installation, it means epoxy is not
completely cured and you must remove and re-epoxy.
6
Check Plum and shim if needed
A. Using a level, check how plumb (perfectly vertical) post is in
relation to ground.
B. Use plastic shims provided to adjust and plumb on two adjacent
sides with level.
C. Two shims are provided to plumb post in all directions. Front to
Back, Back to Front, Right to Left and Left to Right.
D. Slide plastic shims on ground and slide under the right or left
side of the big black rubber disk thru the front and back.
E. Shims will need to be trim with a knife or snips after step 6.

Slide BumperSign Shell system over Steel Core Post.
Lift BumperSign shell over steel core post and guide down until flush with
ground. Note; The bottom base opening fits over the metal cup and hides
all the hardware mechanism.
Align bottom recessed hole located about 20” off the ground with oblong
hole on post and secure with (1) 3/8-16 x 3-1/4” Long Button Head Bolt,
(2) flat washers and (1) nylon Nut, using a wrench with a 9/16” socket and
7/32” Hex Allen Key. The bolt should be fully secured when one or two
threads are exposed past the nylon lock nut.
Note: Make sure plastic base is sitting straight and plum. Small plastic
shims should be cut prior to sliding plastic base onto steel chore.
Adjust BumperSign Top shell to desire height. The predrilled holes
indicate minimum and maximum height. A 3/8” Diameter drill bit will be
required for in between adjustments. Use a clamp to ensure all hardware
are installed on bolt prior to fastening.
If no height adjustment is needed, secure BumperSign top with (1) long
bolt, washers and lock nut.
If the height is adjusted from the minimum, the system will require a total
of (3) bolts. The maximum height the BumperSign top can be adjusted is
109.85”.
Please review your state laws regarding sign height placement.
A bolt must be present at a height of 45-1/2” from the ground.
The Plastic Sign Base and Top ships in its minimum height.

Attach Sign to Plastic Top
A. Locate 12 x 18 sign and square with front of BumperSign
plastic top. Make sure to use metal sign as template to
trace holes. You may remove Plastic top from bottom
base to ease install.
B. Drill two (0.257”-.261”) or (0.191”) diameter hole size
centered in traced holes. Insert two rivets into holes.
C. Using a rivet gun, secure with supplied rivets to hold 12 x
18 sign flush with mounting surface.
D. Repeat to other sided if a back to back sign is needed.
Optional 12 x 6” Sign
E. Additional 12 x 6 sign could be installed below the 12 x 18
Sign. Align vertical edges with top sign. Mark holes and
drill two 0.257”-0.261” diameter holes.
F. Using rivet gun, secure with Blind aluminum rivets.
Note; This can be done with Plastic Top installed on base as well.
