Log-in. 2 TTe 3 1 Status Window 1. LOGIN: Click ‘LOGIN’ and Log-in Screen Launches. 2. USER: Type in ‘User ID’(Default setting is admin) 3. PASSWORD: Type in ‘User ID’(Default setting is blank) www.wisecomm.com 3 Model # USB012 Setting CHAPTER 2 2 Set proper setting for Motion Detection. Setting either too low or too high on Motion setting could cause DVR Program to acting either not record or record at all time. Recommend setting is between 3-7 sensitivity range. Camera Settings. 1 2 4 3 5 1. Title: Display name apears on the screen. 2. Motion Detect Sensitivity: Higher number represents more sensitive on motion detection. 3. Color Adjust: Adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, and Saturation of the camera. (Pressing ‘Default Color’ will reset to Original Color Settings.) 4. Motion Area: Motion detection function is only available on motion detection recording mode. To set Motion areas, draw a box by click and hold on left mouse button and drag to desire size. (Max. 5 Areas) Motion detection area can be deleted by right click on the detection area. 5. Record Speed Adjust: Record Speed can be adjusted between 1 ~ 30 Frame/Sec. (Higher Frame rate is for smoother screen display.) 2. Record Quality: Record Quality settings available 1 ~ 20 (Higher number represents more smoother screen display on play back.) 3. TV system: Select correct TV system in your area. (United States is NTSC and most European countries are using PAL system.) 4. Video Type: It is Composite Video (using RCA Connection) by defaultl 5. Data Storage: Date Storage area shows where your recording data can be saved. (Recommended to use other than hard drive where Windows OS resides.) 6. Hard Drive Size Graph shows usage of physical hard drive status in percentage. 7. Reserved HDD Space: Reserved HDD space is necessary for those of user who install and saves video data on same hard drive. (in order to Windows OS function properly, you need to maintain minimun hard drive space for virtual memory space.) 8. When HDD Reaches Max. Capacity: This option is for user to decide either overwrite the old data and continue record or stop recording. www.wisecomm.com 5 Model # USB012 Setting CHAPTER 1 When Motion Detection recording is activated. When Motion Detect recording is set, you should not click on ‘REC’ button on main screen because turning on record on main screen will override any event recording you might have set. 2 Recording Schedule. 1 5 2 3 4 1. Recording Schedule: Continuous Recording mode represents general recording. Motion Recording mode represents the recording only on motion is detected. No Recording mode represents single monitoring without recording. 2. Day & Time: Select days and time for the schedule being made. 3. C. Admin authority has full control and users has limited access to utilize the functions. 2 User Manage. 1 2 1. Registered Users: Picture shows registered user list. 2. User ID / Password: Create: Type in User Name, Password, and retype the password in Confirm Password and click add. Modify: Select the User, and change the information. Click Modify button to apply. Delete: Select the User and click Delete button. www.wisecomm.com 7 Model # USB012 Setting CHAPTER 2 What is IP Address? 2 Every machine on the Internet has a unique identifying number, called an IP Address. IP(Internet Protocal) address is used to locate and communicate between systems. System. 1 3 4 5 2 6 1. Window StarUp: You can set your USB DVR Program to start up automatically when Windows boot up. Auto Log-off function can be handy when remote user forgot to close the connection. (Server program will cut the connection when time limit is due.) 2. DVR ShutDown: Here you can make choices how your system respond when you Exit from DVR program. (Pull down menu gives you other choises.) 3. Network: When Network is Enabled, remote user can access the USB DVR remotely. (This option must be turned on in order to have remote users to have access.) 4. IP Address: IP Address information shows USB DVR’s IP information. (This IP information is what you will need to connect remotely.) 5. Connect Port Number: You can set the port number to receive the remote connection from users. Log file shows date and time down to second information so you can keep track up to current activity on DVR. 2 Log File. 1 2 3 1. Calendar: Calendar shows month format. Any date has log information turns to bold type.(Picture shows dates 1,2,and 7) 3. If you have date & time information, finding video information is so much easy. Launch Play Back. TTe 3 1 2 1. Search: Click ‘SEARCH’ and Search Screen Launches. 2. Calendar: Click on ‘Calendar’ button brings pop-up calendar. Calendar shows month format. It turns to underlined if any date has data.(Picture shows dates 7 and 8) 3. Simple Design endsures you easier operation on playback. 3 Play Back Buttons. 1. Reverse: Rewinds to beginning of the video. Rewinds 1 frame per click when ‘Pause’ pressed. 2. Play: Plays selected video. 3. Pause: Pause the play and keep the screen still. Pause button has to be pressed in order to play Reverse or Forward. 4. Stop: Stops the play. 5. Forward: Fast Forward to the end of video. Forward 1 frame per click when ‘Pause’ pressed. 6. Click to select any area to play back or Click on ‘Hours’ brings screen in more detail play back mode. 3. Screen 3 shows detailed screen. You can play back in detailed (60 sec.) mode. Backup data can be restore to playback if there is one. 3. Recording Schedule: Check to display with color coded event recording video data. Bookmarks are useful to pin-point where the video data is. Name them with something easy to reminds you what it is. 3 BookMark. TTe 1. Click on ‘B.MARK’ Button to bring BookMark window. 2. Add: Write name of bookmark and click ‘Add’ to save bookmark. 3. Modify: Edit bookmark information. 4. Delete: Erase selected bookmark 5. Windows Media Player plays AVI format. Convert. TTe 1. Click on ‘AVI’ Button to bring AVI Convert window. 2. Convert: Selected Video data will be convert to AVI file format. 3. Stop: Stops the convertion. Converted file will be created up to the point you’ve clicked STOP. 4. Backup>>: Select Drive option window pops up and let you choose the drive for backup file. Q&A There is no USBDVR hardware present. -> Connect USB DVR to USB port on PC. and Restart the DVR program. IP address is incorrect -> Enter the correct IP address. G Direct X 9.0C is not installed -> Install the Direct X 9.0C. REMARK 1. It is recommended to store the recording files in other partition drive than Windows(OS) is installed. 2.
