optiClient 130 V4.0 The PC Client for the Real Time IP System HiPath 3000/5000 optiClient 130, the innovative PC client, is a highlight of the Siemens Workpoint Client family. optiClient 130 V4.0 transforms your PC into a telephone, making it a center of communications via voice, data, e-mail and the Internet. CorNet IP and the H.323 standard support provide all the essential features for voice communication directly on the PC under Windows® 2000 and Windows XP. System description As the most recent addition to the Siemens Workpoint Client family, the optiClient 130 V4.0 delivers all of the functions available on a traditional system telephone to the end user’s desktop computer. The integrated gateway in HiPath 3000/ 5000 V4.0 enables HiPath HG 1500 to communicate with all connected voice terminals. optiClient 130 office optiClient 130 easyCom The optiClient office user interface consists of a system bar with various added (register) dialogs from which individual functions can be performed, settings can be selected and the status of the current call/conversation can be recognized. optiClient 130 easyCom is based on a straightforward and intuitive principle. Users are in the center of the communication circle and communicate with their environment by moving their called party from the address book to the communication circle via drag&drop with the mouse. Consultation, hold, conference and other call control features can be performed in this simple manner. Other forms of communication such as sending e-mails or accessing the Internet/Intranet can thus be integrated, increasing efficiency in the individual work processes. optiClient 130 V4.0 provides users with three different user interfaces which they can select according to their specific needs. optiClient 130 phone The optiClient phone user interface maps all the software-specific functions of the familiar optiPoint system telephone on the PC. Features of this user interface: ● The optiClient office bar can be moved anywhere on the desktop. ● Open windows can be moved off the bar and positioned separately anywhere on the desktop. ● Use drop&drag to move call numbers from other applications to the dialing window. ● Up to four windows are available for speed dial keys. One of these can be moved to the edge of the desktop and be positioned there as a speed dial key bar. ● optiGuide, the interactive user guidance via dialog keys and display, provides maximum operating convenience. The following additional features are also available: ● Telephone directory key for the personal and an LDAP telephone directory. ● Call list key for displaying all missed, answered and initiated calls. ● Individual volume control for the microphone and loudspeaker via separate keys. ● Context-sensitive Help available in every dialog by pressing the F1 key. ● A pop-up menu can also be opened via the right mouse button on the user interface.
