Amnesia (Who Are You?)
This unique feature film will receive
its festival premiere at the 19th
Annual IFS Film Festival in
Beverly Hills, CA. The festival runs
May 27th-April 10th. It has been
awarded BEST DRAMATIC FILM
and BEST ACTRESS for Victoria
Smurfit.
This festival received well over 3,000
submissions, and our film was
selected without a sales agent, PR
director, or marketing campaign. It
was solely based on the quality of the
submission.
This festival will provide a strong
platform for distribution
opportunities.

We’re not fighting a crowded marketplace; we’re creating our
own niche. As this vision grows, many artists will have a
home where they can realize their dreams as we create and
continue to change lives.
I look forward to hearing from

TRAINING NEWS
TRAINING EXPANSION
The multi-media acting training has gone
into ‘soft launch’ and is already getting rave
reviews. This course is over four hours of
video guidance, as well as two-hundred
workbook pages that will take actors to an
understanding of their insturment they’ve
never experienced.
The goal is to expand the proprietary
techniques I’ve developed to actors aroudnd
the country and he world. In the soft launch,
have actors using the system in England and
Australia.
When the new website is complete in June,
we will go into full viral launch. This course
will allow me to reach actors all over the
world, as well as present master classes to
those studying at the university level.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
Victoria Smurfit was
nominated for a 2014 IFTA
(Irish Oscars) for her role in
NBC’s Dracula. Since her
videotaped audition went from
the studio to casting, Victoria
has been propelled into
constant production. The work
has ranged from leads in
independent film projects to top
of show guest star spots on
network television. Let’s not
forget her BEST ACTRESS
award for IFS Festival, 2014.
We’re all proud of her success
and know that this is just the
beginning for her!
John Zderko came into acting
later in life, but his diligence
and commitment to the work
has paid off well recently. After
two televison appearances in
the last few months, he just
completed shooting the lead of
a new paranormal thriller.
Continue the great work, John!
PILOT SEASON
This pilot season rewarded
P.A.I. actors generosly with 3
television test deals. There
were also five guest spots
booked over the season. I’m
proud of actors who continue to
work hard and trust the craft
2
they’ve honed at P.A.I.

REPRESENTATION
It’s essential that I help actors
move from craft to industry
recognicaiton. A big step for
any actor is to secure agent or
management representation.
In a climate or represenatives
cutting clients, P.A.I.’s
reputation has helped our
members secure
representation. 5 actors
signed with theatrical
representation in the last
three months and 7 are now
with commercial agents.
As the success of actors whom
study at P.A.I. continues to
grow, I continue to receive
calls from agents and
managers seeking the skill
sets that are learned under my
training system.
INTERNATIONAL P.A.I.
Amber Clayton is an Australian Talent
who moves between her home country and
Hollywood.
Through auditon technique classes she’s
taken privately at P.A.I. she’s making
significant inroads here and back home.
Her talent is strong and it’s only a matter
of time before her career launches. I’m
pleased that the industry is noticing this
wonderful talent.
Kenneth Israel is an actor in Atlanta
who who made the commute to LA for the
one on one training system. Ken is a
former military and a retired police officer
who came into acting late.
However, he’s now booked two television
shows and a pilot all within two months of
completing the training system. I look
forward to his upcoming transition to
Hollywood.
Keith Mason is an international Rugby
star who is making the move from athletics
to acting. He’s done two films with his
good friend, Mickey Rourke, but needed
real training and guidance. We train via
Skype and the results are showing.
He recently booked two short projects, and
is garnering a lot of attention in London.
Keith will be making the full time move to
Los Angeles this summer to grow his
talents through the full P.A.I. program. He
was recently featured in the Huffington

PRODUCTION
MICROBUDGET FILMS
Last year I spearheaded the notion of making two feature films that would highlight 70 P.A.I. actors. It was
both an opportunity to reward actors in training with real footage and
on-set experience, and the chance to challenge the financial paradigm
of filmmaking.
We set out to raise $80K to make both features. A tiny some for a
single feature film. When our crowdfunding efforts ended just under
$25K, it was the chance to put the message of the process into action:
turn obstacles into opportunities.
Each film was shot in 4 days, with a tiny crew and a breakneck pace.
However, the actors were trained and ready, and the crew had a
synergy of experience together. The super low funding meant a longer post process, however Amnesia…. has
already garnered festival attention, and the second film -Brad’s Untitled
Restaurant Project- is in the final stages of post production.
There are a whole series of new outlets for microbudgeted flms, as well as a
need for original content on the web and direct to DVD/VOD. By mastering
the process of super low budgeted projects with a high-quality result, I’m
positioned to take advantage of a growing market where so few filmmakers
can create within the financial and time constraints.
It is my hope that these efforts will open a distribution platform for the past, current and future microbudgeted
projects. It is the perfect opportunnity for talent to get real experience, and also provide a magnet for P.A.I.
unique training/production platform.
Incidentally, I just wrote/directed/produced and was the director of
photography on a commissioned short film. What another learning
experience!
With this project now lined up for post production, I am pleased to
announce that with micro-budget capital, I will have completed THREE
feature films and THREE short films. The features have one two Best
Picture and two Best Lead Actress Awards.

FILM SLATE
MOVING TO PRODUCTION
There are now two tiers of projects within Paul
Kampf Studios –
Studio Partnered Projects:
STUDIO PARTNER & INDEPENDENT
The approach is to continue taking industry
meetings to explore the right win-win
situations.
Studio Partnered Projects:
Ÿ
Imprisoned
These two projects garered immediate
attention when I moved to Los Angeles, and
were in packaging with had strong actors
attached at one time. They were optioned to
producer, but now I have the rights back and
will seek the best situation.
Ÿ
The Silent
Independently Produced Projects:
These projects are slated at a budget level
outside of private equity investment. We
would be partnering with studio partners and
distributor to bring these projects to fruition.
The approach is to continue taking industry

situations.

attached at one time. They were optioned to

will seek the best situation.
Independently Produced Projects:
These would be privately funded, with
potential finishing funds coming from
distribution.
These projects would open to any type of
studio partnership, and in fact, the talent
attracted to the projects might create that
opportunity.
Any of these projects could be single
investments or be placed into a film fund.
The latter mitigates risk for any single film,
and cuts production costs drastically because
crew and post production staff can be hired for
much longer periods of time.
Because of the structure of each of these films,
the main costs would go to the ‘above the line’
talent that will bring the best sales &
distribution opportunities. They will also
come on board with appropriate ownership in
the project.
The multiple microbudgeted projects were the
training ground for minimal crew/maximum
results. This approach will be applied to any
or all of these films, with the advantage of
much more time and a porportiontely
adequate budget.
However, they would be set up with the focus
on making the highest quality project for the
most cost efficient capitalization.

NEW MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES
FEATURE IN THE PIPELINE
I am currently developing a project for the Art
of Elysium, which I hope would be a joint
production. If the project weren’t the right fit
for their production time frame, then I would
move to producing it within our Studio. With
the success of our past micro-budget features,
our next feature will have the attention of the
industry.
There are a tremendous series of outlets for
microbudgeted flms, as well as a need for origincal
content on the web and direct to DVD/VOD. By
mastering the process of super low budgeted projects
with a high-quality result, the Studio positioned to
take advantage of a growing market where so few
filmmakers can create within the financial and time
constraints.
I am confident that these efforts will create a
distribution platform for the past, current and future
microbudgeted projects. It is the perfect opportunnity
for talent to get real experience, and also provide a
pipeline for the Studio’s unique training/production
platform.
UNIQUE SERIES
Because television has become as high an artistic outlet as independent features of the last decade,
we will be developing a unique series that will follow a 22-minute per episode structure. Therefore,
it will fit the traditional network television restrictions, but also be open to the new
Netflix/Amazon/new media distribution platforms.
This series will take advantage of strong actor in training, but will also take advantage of visible,
well-known actors who are friends and supporters of the studio. There enthusiasm for the ingenuity
of past films has already garnered interest in collaborating on series approach.
We would fully produce and complete three episodes of the series and present it for purchase with
five additional episodes outlined and prepped to write. By completing three full episodes we will
have the leverage to demonstrate the quality within our studio. From there, we will seek the right
distribution partner for completing the remaining first season.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
As part of our mission to help within our
community, Paul Kampf Studios adopted a
family for the holiday season through the
Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles program,
Holidays From the Heart.
We put our efforts together to help the
Curci’s ---a military family from San Diego.
Their youngest, Enzo, is a sweet two year old
boy who was diagnosed with a rare cancer
affecting his eyes.
He has been receiving intensive treatment
including chemotherapy, radiation, and lazer
proceedures.
Through the generosity of the Studio
Members, we were able to meet this family of
five’s requests for clothes, household items,
gift certificates, toys and educational
supplies. We have been blessed to give in
this way to a family in need for the holidays.
This wonderful organization is dedicated to
enriching the lives of artists and critically ill
Children. Artists at all levels of the industry
donate their time to visit children in need to
perform, read, and bring joy whenever
possible.
A number of P.A.I. members have become
pillars in the program and that has opened
up unique production opportunities.
A benefactor fund has been set up through
the Art of Elysium to produce films that
feature the actors who donate their time and
talent. I was asked to submit a project
proposal for an original feature, which
garnered attention and interest.
I’ve agreed to present the Art of Elysium the
finished script for first production
consideration.
The story centers around an organ donar
who died too young, and his loss tore apart
his family. However, his determined fiance
brings his estranged family together with all
those alive today because of his organ
donations. It’s a powerful reconciliation and
universal story.
I’m looking forward to putting this film on
paper.

OUR GROWING FAMILY
CONGRATULATIONS
It is paramount to
me that the Studio be more than a place for artists
to learn and grow, but a second home where we
celebrate the joys of life and provide support for the
personal difficulties that come our way.
I’m very happy to welcome back Indra Kelly to class
this month. She discovered she was pregnant on
her first day of filming Amnesia. She and her
daughter Harlowe are doing well, and have been
booking mother/daughter commercials already!
Sonya Macari, who also appears in
Amnesia, and her husband, singer/songwriter Colin
Devlin are five months pregnant with their first
child. We wish them all the blessings in the world
on their life-changing gift!
BROZIAT STUDIOS
Natalie Broziat was one of 8 actors
in my original Master Class when she was in
Hollywood on a professional work visa.
Nathalie studied with me for almost two years
where she honed her stage and camera
techniques.
A native of France, she made the move back to
Paris where she has now opened her own
training studio.
Natalie has a significant background in
performance art, and teaches solo
performance skills. However, she has
integrated many of my techniques and
philosophies into her work with my blessings.
I have an open invitation to come to her
studio to teach a Master Class. I hope to do so
sometime in the next year, and to further
connect my Studio in Los Angeles to her
growing vision in Paris.
Two years ago P.A.I. actors Colette Walker and Alex
Pierce met in a Master Class and now they are
proudly man and wife. Everyone at the Studio
wishes them all the best!
