Her Maternal grandfather’s clan is Tótsohnii (Big Water) and her Paternal grandfather’s clan is Honágháahnii (One Who Walks Around). Audra is originally from Many Farms, Arizona. Her parents are Grace Etsitty and the Late Cecil Etsitty. Her Maternal grandparents are the Late Alice Yazzie and Totsoni Yazhi. Audra earned her B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Diné College in 2002. Audra was Miss Navajo Nation during 1995. She currently resides in Fort Defiance, Arizona. She is married to Mr. Robert Platero of Fort Defiance and they have been blessed with three beautiful children. Audra is currently employed with Window Rock Unified School District as a First Grade Teacher at Tséhootsooí Diné Bi’Ólta’, a Navajo Immersion School. Avery Denny very Denny’s clans are Tódík’≠zhí born for Tótsohnii. His Maternal grandparents are Ta’neezahnii and his Paternal grandparents are Tséníjíkiní. He currently resides in Whippoorwill, Arizona, on the Navajo Nation. His life philosophy is retaining his Navajo Culture and language. He believes in keeping himself strong as a Diné person by maintaining his Diné image and identity. Avery has been teaching for 26 years in the areas of Navajo Culture, Navajo Oral History, Navajo Philosophy, Navajo Holistic Healing, Navajo Herbology, and Diné Educational Philosophy. Avery is a Hataa¬íí (Navajo Chanter). He practices the Blessing Way, Beauty Way, Night Way, and Enemy Way ceremonies. These Navajo healing ceremonies consist of two, five, and nine night ceremonies, which are known as Hatáál Nahaghá. Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education Philosophy The educational philosophy of Diné College is Sa’™h Naagháí Bik’eh Hózhóón, the Diné traditional living system, which places human life in harmony with the natural world and the universe.
