Who says a monthly meeting hast to be just a meeting?
As most of you can remember the WINTER CARNIVALS! Well, I was felling a little nostalgic while looking at the stuff

followed by the HEART TOSS, and ending with the marble suck game.
We all had a great time. The following are the winners.

The March meeting of GWTA Chapter A was held at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 2525 N. Rock Road, Wichita,
Kansas, on March 17, 2012, where the group enjoyed a potato bake. There were 27 people present.
The meeting was called to order by John Eubank, and the following items of business were discussed:
• Dee Webber was asked to introduce our two guests for the evening who will later speak to the group on Long
Term Care.
• Birthdays and anniversaries were announced for the month.
• John thanked everyone who worked at the booth at The Chill. He announced that we will probably have two new
members joining the Club because of our presence there.
• The April monthly meeting will held April 14 at 9:00 am at Mid-America Power Sports (MAPS), 333 N. West
Street, where we will be meeting for the Road Show. MAPS furnishes coffee and donuts and we will again have fresh
popcorn throughout the day. At this meeting, we will be presenting MAPS with an appreciation plaque for all their
support to the Club.
• Rick Frost, webmaster of our Chapter A website, will be adding a section for “Items For Sale”. Rick has done a
fantastic job of getting the website up to date and we appreciate all the time he’s put into this for the Club. If you
have any items you’d like to sell, please send the information to Rick Fros at webmaster@gwtakschaptera.com.
• John announced that the Shrine Poker Run had changed from fall to spring and will be held the last weekend in
April 29th. Watch for more information.
• Gold Rush will be July 23-26 at Tan-Tara Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri this year. It is expected
that we will have 15 motorcycles going from our Club. Anita McCune is making a Memorial Wall poster for the Club.
If you have any photos you’d like included, please send them to Anita. If you still have raffle tickets out, please get
them in to Anita soon.
• The member number in the newsletter was 105620, which was Rick Fros.
• Tee Kahn and Sean Smith of Banker’s Life, guests of Newt and Dee Webber, gave the group general information
about how Long Term Care works and answered general questions. If anyone is interested in contacting them to discuss anything related to Long Term Care, please call Dee Webber for their phone number.
• Banker’s Life offered to give a $20 gift card to a restaurant of the
winner’s choice. Richard McCart was the winner of the gift card and
chose Carlos O’Kelly’s as the restaurant.
• Dee Webber won the Mystery Bag this month and Alan Highland
won the 50/50 in the amount of $29.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Dee Webber, Secretary

Due to space available in March newsletter, I could not get them in, but here they are now!
• April 14 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, we will be at Mid-America Power Sports (MAPS), 333 N.

• Gold Rush this year will be July 23-26 at Tan-Tara Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Everyone is encouraged to attend this year. Neon yellow Club shirts can be ordered for this
event. We have been asked by the Gold Rush sponsor to prepare a poster for the History Wall.
Anita McCune will be in charge of this project. Actually, she is thinking of doing one for the
Chapter A club and one for State as it will be our 25th anniversary this summer. Region E will be
in charge of the mini golf tournament. There will also be a swap meet at the rally for Goldwing
parts, so get out all your unused parts and equipment to take to Gold Rush.
