We are a non-prift organization consisting of volunteers working to build a
Main Street framework that is well represented by civic groups, merchants,
citizens and public officials.
The organization consists of four committees with designated roles:
ORGANIZATION: Raise money; manage staff and volunteers; promote the Main Street Program; and manage
finances for the board.
ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING: Identify opportunities for maket growth; strenghten existing businesses and recruit
new ones; find new economic uses for traditional Main Street buildings; develop financial incentives and capital for
building rehabilitation and business developement; and mentor the economic performance of the downtown district.
DESIGN: Enhance the appearance of the district; encourage quaility improvements to property owners and public
spaces; guide future growth and shaping regulations; and create incentives and target key projects.
PROMOTION: Identify and promote downtown assets - including people, buildings, heritage and institutions;
market Main Street’s “niche” and it’s unique position; create retail promotions and special events to draw people
to the downtown district.
