New Daycare Center
OPEN!!!!
The Doggy Daycare Center at the Orrville Pet
Spa and Resort is now open for dogs to come
and play in a safe, off-leash environment.
Located behind the existing Orrville Pet Spa
and Resort, the Daycare Center has a new
driveway and entrance for daycare and
grooming clients.
The new space will enhance the benefits
and opportunities of the current daycare
program to further mentally and physically
stimulate your dog each day. By taking a
more in-depth approach to safe, off-leash
play, the leadership activities recommended
by the Dog Guru Community can be more
closely followed. Safe, off-leash play has and
always will be a top priority of the managers
and staff. The Daycare Center offers indoor
and outdoor play areas to keep dogs
entertained all day long throughout the year.
The Doggy Daycare Center is open from
7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

Managing the space at the daycare gate is an
important task for the Daycare Attendant. Dogs
learn that they play when they go through the gate
and this will cause a high excitement level at those
areas. Maintaining a 2 – 3 foot perimeter around
this area helps the staff control this resource, keep
the dogs safe, and establishes them as leaders. It
takes patience and practice. The Daycare Leader
asks a group of dogs to all stay simultaneously
then rewards them with praise. This activity
reinforces the authority of the leader and that
focus and mental stimulation for the dog is fun.

day of play in Doggy Daycare. Just let one of our
