F
or any dental practitioner who has not used a 45°
handpiece, the first thing you will notice is the
45-degree angled head allows for maximum visibility
and access, especially when treating impacted third
molars. The 45° design also prevents air flow into the work
site because all air is exhausted through the rear of the
handpiece. This is crucial in preventing an air embolism.

In creating their new 45° handpiece, the goal of the
J. Morita engineers was to design an air-driven handpiece
with the ability to cut with tremendous torque without the
bulk and weight of the electric handpiece. The J. Morita
TwinPower Turbine 45° offers the same unique turbine
design as the other Morita high-speed handpieces which
narrows the gap between air driven and electric handpieces.
It features the world’s only “twin turbine” and it harnesses
super-high torque. This double-impeller technology
produces 20 W of power compared to competitive units
that only generate approximately 14 W of power. These
unique features add up to unsurpassed clinical stability
and constant speed even under high-load conditions. The
TwinPower Turbine 45° allows the clinician to quickly and
easily section a tooth for a more manageable extraction. It
also has the smallest head size of any 45° on the market,

permanently damage your sterilizer.
By using surface disinfectants for the initial wipe-down
of handpieces, attachments and instruments, you are
actually doing more harm than
