Welcome to the bi-monthly publication by PGT Trucking. This newsletter is for
you, our customer. We discuss a variety of subjects including PGT Trucking
news, industry news and industry trends. We welcome and encourage

Who is PGT Trucking?
PGT Trucking Inc. is a full-service asset based flatbed transportation firm
offering private fleet, international, and specialized hauling services. PGT
operates in excess of 800 drivers and has a corporate staff of over 300 at
its headquarters in Monaca, PA. Other corporate locations include 29
truck terminals strategically located throughout the US and Mexico. At
PGT Trucking, Inc., safety is everyone’s job – all the time.

Safety is the driving force behind everything we do at PGT Trucking,
Inc. Our core Safety value of “Safety is Everyone’s Job – All the

reaches deep into our corporate culture. PGT is committed in being

We also use technology to enhance our safety program through:
Electronic On-Board Recording (EOBR)
Automatically tracks the driver’s duty status and notifies drivers and dispatchers of
impending violations. Fleet managers receive automatic updates on duty status,
driving time and remaining hours of service.
Navigation
Allows drivers to input vehicle parameters and route preferences; identifies truck
services, truck stops, rest areas, weigh stations and CAT scales. Large displays
substantially minimize driver distraction in the cab, while improving driver safety
by encouraging “hands free” directions.
Critical Event Recording
Monitors hard-braking, driver-initiated alerts and key on-board sensor data. Sends near real-time alerts when
critical events occur. Collects on-board second-by-second sensor data before, during, and after an event.
Records objective information safety managers can use when coaching drivers. Delivers graphical satelliteimages and hybrid maps of incident locations with its GPS fleet tracking capability.

PGT Terminal Spotlight: Birmingham, AL
Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama with a population of
over 250,000 people.
From Birmingham's early days, the steel industry has always
played a crucial role in their local economy. Birmingham is often
referred to as the Pittsburgh of the South. Steel production and
processing continue to play a key role in the Birmingham
economy. Several of the nation's largest steelmakers, including
CMC Steel, U.S. Steel, McWane, and Nucor, all have a major
presence in Birmingham. In recent years, local steel companies
have announced about $100 million worth of investment in
expansions and new plants in and around Birmingham.
Recognizing Birmingham as a key strategic location, PGT Trucking
opened a terminal there. The Birmingham facility operates 60 trucks, which travel to as far west as Eastern Texas and
services several cities east of the Mississippi River.
The Birmingham Terminal is a full service facility with amenities such as a driver lounge, a maintenance facility, a fully
equipped road service truck, a convenient location to our customers and a safety and training facility on site for our
drivers.
Our operations team includes Rich Zuckett, Terminal Manager, who brings over 20 years experience in the flatbed
industry, Adam Stults in customer service, Andrew Nichols is the fleet manager, Rob Bozek oversees safety and traning,
Doug Hayes is the shop supervisor, Don Keenon and James Karocha are the shop technicians.
