Let’s Review a Few Different States: 733d Security Forces Virginia Virginia Code §46.2-221.2 – Driver’s license extension apply to: • A person serving outside the Commonwealth in the armed services of the United States. • A spouse or dependent accompanying any such member of the armed forces. • Any license extended under this section will be considered not expired during the period of the licensee’s service outside of the Commonwealth while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. • However, no extension shall exceed three years. • A driver who needs this extension will be given an extension card to carry with their driver’s license. • A military extension packet may be requested by mail. Requests can be mailed to DMV Driver Support, P.O. Box 27412, Richmond, VA 23269. 733d Security Forces Florida Driver’s license extension applies to: • Active duty members of the Armed forces. • Dependents residing with them, (spouse, son, daughter, and step- children ). • Children must be under 21 • Can renew your FL driver's license online up to 18 months in advance, or apply for an extension. • Military Extension card - extends your expired FL driver's license for an additional 90 days beyond your last day of active duty. • The Florida DHSMV will mail you an extension card to carry with your FL driver license and U.S. military ID. 733d Security Forces Texas Driver’s license extension apply to: • Active Duty Military • DOES NOT APPLY to military spouses or dependents • Active duty military members may have an address outside of Texas. • Military personnel honorably discharged receive a 90 day extension from the date of discharge or after returning to Texas. • No extension card needed.
