Supporting Fort Eustis 45 733D Security Forces Squadron Privately Owned Weapons Concealed Carry of Firearms or Dangerous Weapons • Carrying a concealed firearm or a concealed dangerous weapon on Fort Eustis is strictly prohibited • Exceptions per Army and Air Force regulations in the performance of official duties. • Dangerous weapons are defined as anything manifestly designed, made, or adapted for the purposes of inflicting serious physical injury. The term includes, but is not limited to switchblade knives, fixed blade knives four inches or longer, swords, or daggers; any billy club, black-jack, or expandable baton; metal knuckles; or any instrument which has been manipulated for use to inflict physical harm. • A weapon is considered concealed when it is intentionally covered or kept from sight, whether on the person or otherwise within an individual’s immediate control. • Transportation of a dangerous weapon in the trunk of a motor vehicle or in a locked container of a truck bed does not constitute carrying a concealed weapon. The NHTSA compiled a list of stats that demonstrates the dangers of being a distracted driver which include: •People who text while driving are 23 times more likely to die in a crash. •Reaction time is 30 percent worse while texting and driving.
