The USF: Unstoppable Campaign Continues
Fresh off the completion of the recordbreaking first phase of the USF: Unstoppable
Campaign, university and foundation leaders
announced the beginning of a new phase.
This second phase will build upon the
successes of the first, providing critical funding
for scholarships, professorships, research
support, classroom and laboratory technology,
equipment and so much more.
With the creation of a second phase, the
Campaign’s new goal is $1 billion, an amount
extremely rare in American higher education
and almost unheard of at a University System as
young as USF.
USF System President Judy Genshaft said
the campaign’s second phase will build upon
previous successes.
“We are dedicated to continuing this
campaign because we have seen first-hand
the tremendous positive impact it has had for
our students and faculty throughout the USF
System,” said President Genshaft. “Each of

“... during the next five years, we have a unique opportunity to
completely transform the USF System.”

From USF: Unstoppable
Campaign Co-Chairs
Dear Friends of USF,
This is an amazing time to be a part of
USF System and to be a supporter of the
USF: Unstoppable Campaign. We decided
to step up as Campaign Co-Chairs for the
second phase of this campaign because we
believe that during the next five years, we
have a unique opportunity to completely
transform the USF System.
Universities and university systems as
young as USF rarely raise $1 billion during
the course of a campaign. Now we stand
together on the precipice of this landmark
achievement. When we succeed, we will
forever change USF’s place in higher
education, our nation, and the world.
We are going to need your help. Together
we will create a strong, vibrant university
system and together, we will be unstoppable!
Sincerely,
Gordon Gillette ’81, ’85, President
