 Home & School Association Meeting Minutes – 1.20.14 In attendance: Deb Niles, Karin Freihammer, Jennifer Looney, Carey Harnett, Joan Ludowese, Jim Rice, Sharon Rice, Nica Syers, Christen Hernanadez, Kelly Carnes, Patrice Raths, Tani Bialek, Jeff Bialek, & Maggie Quast Opened with prayer by Jeff Bialek Recaps: • Teacher Holiday Luncheon – all volunteer and food donor spots were filled and the teachers had a wonderful time • Skate Night – extremely well attended and North Dale Rec did a great job with the hot chocolate and warming house. Many new skating careers were launched • SCRIP – very slow since pre-­‐ holiday orders. Will form a sub-­‐committee to devote time to the cause. Karin Freihammer to organize, Patrice Raths, Jeff Bialek will participate -­‐ others welcome! Need to push mobile app and ease of purchasing SCRIP when needed, get parish involved, have a contest... Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday with the Pancake Breakfast & Bake Sale – need more volunteers and bakers. Jeff will compose an email for ambassadors. Spring Fling – next meeting 1/22 at 6:30 pm – different teams are getting volunteers but we need more. Communication plans are in the works Open House – February 5th – Short program and tours -­‐ all are welcome to help showcase our school Pre-­‐school Morning Coffee will be January 29 & 30 school mornings in vestibule – coffee, treats, and conversation with the Pre-­‐K parents – all are encouraged to attend We will try for an Open Gym after the Open House is completed There will be a meeting for all parents to discuss changes to the tuition program for the 2015-­‐16 school year on February 3 – more details to come. February Community Event – Fat Tuesday Taco & Bingo Night -­‐ February 17th – we’ll need to solicit prizes for bingo winners. Ambassador Communication – highlight bake sale need, sign-­‐up genius for Spring Fling, need for bingo prizes for Fat Tuesday – Jeff will share draft tomorrow. The meeting was closed with a prayer.
