Laura Tonke (b.1974) is an award winning actress and writer, known for Ostkreuz (1991), Winterschläfer (1997) and have appeared in a wealth of other movies. He graduated from the Stockholm Film School and has worked on a number of Swedish film productions. His experience as a social worker is reflected in his first feature film DRIFTERS, which has received brilliant reviews in Sweden. This year’s event presents highlights from the upcoming Norwegian feature film BIRKEBEINERNE, directed and presented by Nils Gaup (known for the Academy Award-nominated action drama PATHFINDER). The film is a spectacular historical action drama set to the 13th century. In a time of civil war in Norway, two men set out on a dangerous journey on skis to try and protect a heir to the throne – a deed that altered the course of Norway’s history.
