to be familiar with the other related domains as well in order to understand the
convergence of various streams.
Our programmes cover various Engineering streams like Aeronautical, Automobile,
Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Fashion,
Instrumentation, IT, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Textile. Our faculty of
Management studies covers the various Business domains. Such an atmosphere helps
student to share knowledge in a truly collaborative learning environment. This provides
our students an access to network of ideas and lifelong friends from various fields.

abreast with the ever-changing scenario in the educational arena along with a fine blend

Academic Programs Offered
B.E./B.Tech.
The Bachelors program is offered in 13 fields of engineering. The 8 semester program
aims a strong grounding in the respective fields of engineering with strong emphasis on
core fundamentals and practical exposure.
M.E./M.Tech./MCA
The Masters program admits graduate students in various specializations. This program
strikes a balance between course-work and research as most M.E./ M.Tech students
along with their course work also undertake research assistantship.
M.B.A
The MBA program consists of 4 semesters offering 19 Core papers and 28 elective
subjects, covering specializations in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Systems, Human
Resource and Production.
Ph.D.
The Ph.D. program caters to the needs of an original research. The average duration of
the program is about 5 years.

Teaching Process
In the classroom, there is great emphasis on core fundamentals and internal
examinations are designed to test the same in real life situations. Course work is further
enriched with course project seminars and presentations, so that students become
proficient in inculcating soft skills also.
Teaching Assistantship
Meritorious post-graduate students are offered teaching assistantship, which involves
assisting instructors in practically everything related to the course, like conducting
lectures, laboratory-sessions and tutorials, course-planning, and even setting
examination questions.
Industrial Exposure
Students are regularly exposed to latest industry practices through several industrial
visits during their course. Besides this, an internship for a period of 2 months is made
mandatory for the students in the subject they majoring in. The training provides
students with adequate exposure in tackling real time problems encountered in
working for an industry.

Is established to bring “Science to Engineering” culture using “high Performance
Computing” and address the technological needs for the country through quality
education and training.

It is mandatory for all B.Tech, M.Tech, M.C.A., and Ph.D. students to take up projects
under the guidance of faculty. This enhances the development of application oriented
research projects. With many of these projects being industry sponsored, they provide
both students and faculty an opportunity to tackle live problems.
Publications
Post-graduate students are encouraged to publish papers in peer-reviewed national and
international conferences and journals.

KCT has always striven to acquire an equitable balance between academics and extracurricular engagements among its students. The intention is to create future leaders in

In tune with the objective of all round development of students, various sporting and
physical development activities are encouraged amongst students.
KCT is equipped with modern sports facilities which include foot ball fields, hockey field,
cricket circle, synthetic tennis and basket ball courts, an indoor shuttle and badminton
court and a multi-utility sports field and separate gym for boys and girls.
Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre
Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre houses a photo gallery and books written on Mahatma
Gandhi. It also has seminar hall with all required facilities. Lectures on Gandhian
principles are organized in this centre regularly for the benefit of the students.
Gandhian Youth Movement (GYM), a youth wing of Mahatma Gandhi study centre, was
inaugurated with the objectives of inculcating Gandhian thoughts in younger minds.
Apart from the above activities, Mahatma Gandhi study centre and Gandhian youth
movement organize Gandhian Youth Training Camp in various places once in a year.
Vivekananda Study Centre
Over the past hundred and twenty years, Swami Vivekananda has been a constant
source of inspiration to countless number of people across the world. anyone coming in
touch with the life and message of Swami Vivekananda is bound to be inspired! In order
to introduce such a great personality to our Students and to facilitate our Students to
know more about the patriotic monk of India, Swami Vivekananda Study Centre has
been instituted.
Other objectives of Swami Vivekananda Study Centre :

Holds over 90,850 books along with nearly 10025
back volumes of journals. Subscribes to over 387
National and 192 International research journals.
E-library facilities include: OPAC, INDEST-AICTE
Consortium, DELNET, Prowess, EBSCO, Economic
Intelligence Services, HBR online journal.
The library is also an institutional member of NYAS (USA), Springer, ASME, IEEE,
Science Direct, British Library and the IITs, the IIMs, NPC (New Delhi) to
mention a few.
The Syndicate Rooms provide the right setting to the students for the brain storming
sessions.
Auditorium
A totally equipped, state-of-the-art air conditioned
auditorium with a seating capacity of 1800 is part of
the ultra modern infrastructure at KCT.
It provides the ideal setting for technical events,
management events, cultural events and corporate
interaction programmes.
Computing
KCT boasts of the latest computing facilities which complement the pedagogy and the
administrative activities. The IT infrastructure includes a fiber optic cable based
campus-wide LAN and Wi-fi, supported by multiple servers 24 x 7 internet connectivity
through a 48 Mbps dedicated line, 1900 workstations spread across laboratories,
libraries, class rooms and hostels, specialized software, dedicated centers for training
on Oracle and SAP tools. The backbone Intranet facilities all students activities.
Seminar Halls
There are 4 ultra-modern Seminar Halls with a seating
capacity of 225 each. The Halls are well equipped with stateof-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools. The seminar
halls have played host not only to student-industry
interactions but also to a wide variety of technical events
and contests.
KCT - STPI TECH Park
KCT is the one of the forerunners and service providers to fulfill the growing needs in
the academic and technical arena. The STPI has entered into an agreement with KCT
for establishing Software Technology Parks in KCT campus for the purpose of setting
up IT projects. Through their venture, Cognizant, Cordys, Vanenburg, Ford, First
source, Ultra Mind and Vignani Technologies, the seven major IT giants have
set their projects in KCT campus.

The Placement Cell of KCT plays a vital role by being a platform for Corporates and
Young graduates to interact for mutual benefit. Services are provided throughout the
year to prepare students and help those secure placements. The number of students
