Our success with neighborhood regeneration begins at
Wesley Heights,...our home! Neighboring Concepts both
prepared and began implementing the Wesley Heights
Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. We provided a phased
strategic redevelopment plan for this historic streetcar
suburb that identified properties for purchase.
After
adoption of the plan, we collaborated with the Wesley Heights
Community Association to acquire and renovate houses in
the neighborhood for sale to prospective home owners. The
successful endeavor earned us the 2001 AIA Charlotte Merit
Award and re-energized the core housing market West of I-77.
Resulting infill development (including our condominium
project, Skybridge Terrace) has nearly doubled the number
of dwelling units in the neighborhood.
