In Miniature Ladies, get ready to experience an unbelievable lightness of being, because Louis Vuitton’s mini icons dare you to ditch everything you don’t need. The focus is on the Alma BB, the Monceau BB, the Speedy Bandoulier 25 in Monogram Empreinte, and the Pochette Accessoires. Reminiscent of the Art Deco elegance of the 1934 original, the Alma BB makes a lightweight and ladylike companion. The all-new Monceau BB – a mini replica of the 1986 classic – has the nostalgic appeal of a satchel but is strictly for girls who’ve finished with school. With their long and conveniently removable shoulder straps, the Alma BB and Monceau BB beg to be slung close to your body in a casual, carefree way. The Pochette Accessoires, celebrated since 1992, has graduated to full handbag status with an oh-so-subtle increase in size. While the originals were first created in Monogram canvas, the new mini icons make a big impact in bright and beautiful colours of cult Epi and Monogram Vernis leathers. Colours range from the spicy Piment and Vert Olive to the cheery and vibrant Rose Velours, Rose Indien and Fuchsia. The Monceau BB has even been so bold as to remove the monogram from Monogram Vernis, to better flaunt this little treasure's retro graphic shape. There's an even smaller companion to complement your already small Vuitton: leather goods made to match your chosen icon. Our favourite, the Marie-Lou wallet, with its stunning combo of Monogram canvas and colourful Epi leather. Rather than choosing models to tout these gorgeous miniatures, Louis Vuitton selected three of the hottest fashion bloggers currently on the circuit: Hanneli Mustaparta, Elin Kling and Miroslava Duma. These ladies are at the top of their game, their word quickly becoming fashion decree. The trio had a grand time toting the mini Vuittons around the avenues of Paris, the beauty of the bags seen to fabulous full effect. Small? Certainly. Desired? Definitely! fa s h i o n I 79 Photos: © Louis Vuitoon 78 I South Africa Deluxe I Shopping & Lifestyle
