TURBO
For climbing at the Gunks in New York, you might want
to leave half your rack in the car, as the local ethic is for

routes like High Exposure and Modern Times throwing steep stuff at you, it would be nice to be wearing the Turbo harness, and not weighted down with

CADILLAC
Misty Mountain’s most popular recreational climbing sit harness is the Cadillac. If your idea of living
the dream is doing long multi-pitch trad in the Linville Gorge, then the Cadillac may be your favorite,
too. The Cadillac features a variable width waist belt
with double buckles for greater adjustability. Six 7”
gear loops provide racking capacity for extra nuts
and cams, and the double buckle design keeps them
symmetrical and within reach. Built wide for extra
comfort, with a load reducing inner layer, the Cadillac is padded with 3/16” thick closed cell cross-linked
polyethylene foam. Amply wide for hanging belays
and big wall use, the waist belt tapers from 4.25” wide

Mark Wellman
ARC HARNESS
At Misty Mountain, our desire to provide people
with great harnesses naturally has extended to the
development of adaptive harness designs particularly suited for climbers who roll in wheelchairs. Our
experience designing and building adaptive harnesses for six years has allowed us to work with some
incredible climbers of varying levels of abilities,
none more inspiring or enamoring than Mark Wellman. Mark, 53, is a paraplegic of 31 years who made
history by becoming the first paraplegic to climb El
Capitan and Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.
In 2013, Mark began teaming up with Misty Mountain to improve existing and develop new adaptive
harness designs. The fruits of this collaboration are
the new Wellman ARC Harness and Wellman ARC
Spreader. The Wellman ARC features a slotted seat
for rope passage, reinforced with a fabricated 1/8”
aluminum plate for strength. The Wellman Spreader
deploys a five sided PVC tubular frame for freedom
of movement when utilizing an Adaptive Pull Up Bar
or similar ascension device. Both innovations enhance the climbing experience for climbers, providing as much security and support as needed while
allowing as much personal mobility as possible.

USAF, Ish participated in two Denali expeditions and
was handpicked for the Joint High Altitude test for
preventative medicine for High Altitude Sickness. In
a joint exercise with the Navy, Ish summited both Half
Dome and El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.
Ish’s latest design collaboration with Misty Mountain
has resulted in the Tactical Roco Insertion Cache rope

from durable nylon Cordura and Hypalon engineered fabric for a beefy pack capable of
seasons of adventures. Full length front zip allows access to contents, and provides a rope
tarp to protect gear from the dirt. Large outer
