BEAN POT “FAST FOOD RECIPES” Dear friend, Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to service you through Home and Garden Party. My purpose in giving you these recipes is to help you prepare a nice home cooked meal without all the time and energy it normally involves. Most of these recipes are prepared in less than 10 minutes and cook within an hour. Please feel free to email or call me at the information posted on my email with any questions, comments, or concerns. I would love to hear any new recipes you have or a twist on an old one. You will find cooking in our pottery is the easiest, quickest, and safest way to prepare your food especially since scientist are now finding that cooking in aluminum and plastics are very detrimental to our health. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to help you change the way you cook for family and friends. All recipes are for the Bean Pot unless otherwise noted. Also keep in mind that you can microwave a pound of hamburger in our Bean Pots in about 7 minutes. Thanks so much and enjoy! * One 3 pound lean Beef Roast One can cream mushroom soup One can of Coke Potatoes & Carrots Dump mushroom soup and coke into your Home & Garden Party Bean Pot. Place Roast on top and potatoes and carrots around. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour. Let stand with lid on 15 minutes. Or you may prepare this the night before and slow cook, 175-200 degrees 6-8 hours. May use beef brisket - for best results cook brisket at 175 degrees for 8-10 hours One pound pkg. dry brown (pinto) beans Ham or Bacon pieces Salt & Pepper to taste A little diced onion and celery (optional) Rinse beans and put them in your Bean Pot. Season to taste (I use at least a tsp of salt and ½ tsp of course ground pepper). Add bacon or ham pieces, celery and onion, and fill your pot with water almost to the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 ½ hours, or till beans are tender. Can use pinto beans for Ham & Beans, Black beans with a few green chilies for a little spice, or your own family favorites. 5 to 7 small red potatoes, halved Couple of carrots cut in 2” chunks 1-2 stalks celery, sliced One can chicken broth One-half can water One whole chicken Place chicken in your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot. Season if you like…add remaining ingredients and bake at 375 degrees for 1 & ½ hours, or till done. One 3 pound chicken Your favorite poultry “Rub” (I use Cajun or mesquite) Salt & Pepper (if more seasoning is desired) Wash chicken and pat dry. Rub with your favorite seasonings. Pour one quarter cup of water in Home & Garden Party Bean Pot, add chicken. Cook in microwave 30-40 minutes then let stand with lid on an additional 20 minutes. Chicken will be browned & juicy when done. One to two pounds(Award ground Winning) beef One to two packages dry chili seasoning One small onion 2 cans chili beans 2 cans diced tomatoes Crumble one to two pounds of ground beef into your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot. Add onion and chili seasoning. Microwave on high 7-10 minutes - stirring to break up the ground beef two to three times during cook time. Drain excess juices. Add remaining ingredients and season to taste. Place in your oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour. Garnish with shredded cheddar and sour cream. 1 and ½ cups uncooked rice 2 cans golden mushroom soup 1 small diced onion 1 can water 4 to 5 pork chops Mix together first four ingredients in your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot. Lay pork chops on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for an hour and a half. One box Zatarain’s Jumbolia mix Two cans cream of celery soup One can diced tomatoes One-half can water One pound sliced sausage One pkg. shrimp, cleaned One pkg. frozen okra (optional) Boil sausage till done and slice into bite sized pieces. Combine Zatarain’s, celery soup, tomatoes, and water in your Home & Garden Party Bean Pot. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Add frozen shrimp and/or okra and bake an additional 30 minutes. One three pound boneless beef or pork roast One pkg. Sloppy Joe seasoning mix One-half tsp course ground pepper One tsp table salt One quarter cup water Place roast in your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot. Sprinkle seasonings on top and add a little water. Bake at 250 degrees for 5-6 hours. Great served as sandwiches or pulled beef or pork, pasta salad and various fruits. Two lbs. ground beef One can of sweet corn One small onion, diced Two cans of diced tomatoes Two cans of red kidney beans Two pkgs. taco seasoning mix Brown ground beef and onion, drain fat - May do this step in the microwave. Mix all ingredients in Home & Garden Party Bean Pot, cover and bake at 250 degrees all day (6-8 hours or so). Garnish with diced onions, shredded cheese, small tortilla chips and sour cream! Best if prepared the day before, let sit in refrigerator all night, then slow cook at 200 all day. 3 skinless/boneless chicken breasts 2 tsp of chicken bouillon 1 bag mixed vegetables 2 cans Cream of Chicken One-half can of milk 1 pkg. of Pillsbury pie crusts (come 2 to a pkg. and found in the biscuit section of the grocery store) Boil chicken, vegetables and bouillon with enough water to cover till chicken is done. Drain, dice chicken, and add one can of Cream of Chicken soup. In your Bean Pot, unfold one pie crust and lay at the bottom of your Bean Pot, going up the sides. Put your chicken mixture on top of the pie crust. Lay the other pie crust on top. Cover and bake at 400 degrees until the top pie crust is golden brown. For gravy, mix on stovetop one can of Cream of Chicken soup with one half-can milk. This can also be done in the large Country Garden Serving Bowl. One 8 oz. can whole cranberry sauce One 8oz. bottle French dressing One envelope onion soup mix 6 Pork chops, trimmed of fat Combine first three ingredients in a medium bowl. Pour half the mixture in your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot and place three pork chops on top. Pour the other half of mixture over and top off with the rest of the pork chops. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour ~ Enjoy! 6 Country Style Pork Ribs Your favorite BBQ rub Your favorite BBQ sauce ¼ cup onion (optional) Prepare Ribs with your favorite BBQ rub. Place in your Home & Garden Party Bean Pot and Microwave on high 15minutes… drain excess juices and pour BBQ sauce over. Sprinkle with onion if you like and return to Microwave to cook an additional 15 to 25 minutes depending on the size of your ribs. Let stand 20 minutes with lid on before serving. Be sure you are using the Country Style Pork Ribs or this will not work. 1 ½ pounds round steak Salt & Pepper 1 onion, thinly sliced 1 can green beans, drained 4 –5 potatoes, peeled and quartered 1 can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup Season Meat with salt & pepper and add to your Home & Garden Party Bean Pot. Add a little water (about a quarter cup)) and then Layer (in order) the sliced onions, quartered potatoes, green beans, and cream of mushroom soup. Cover and bake at 200 degrees for 6-7 hours or at 375 degrees for an hour or so. 1.5 lbs ground beef 1 small onion, diced 1 small can chopped green chilies 1 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1 can white hominy or pinto beans un-drained 1 can kidney beans, un-drained 1 can black beans, rinsed 2 cans diced, stewed tomatoes 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix 1 pkg. dry ranch seasoning mix Brown beef with onion – no need to add salt. Dump everything into your Home & Garden Party Bean Pot and bake at 300 degrees for one hour. His is also a great recipe to prepare the night before, refrigerate till morning then slow bake on low (175-200 degrees) all day while you’re at work. 4 cups toasted French bread cubes 2 1/2 cups cooled scalded milk 2 beaten eggs 3/4 cup sugar, white or brown 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 2 Tbsp melted butter Dash of nutmeg Dash of salt 1 tsp vanilla ½ cup raisins (optional) Lightly butter your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot and add the bread cubes. In a small bowl, whisk together the scalded milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, vanilla and melted butter. Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes and add the raisins, if desired. Gently using a large spoon or spatula, press the bread cubes down into the mixture. Do not stir, Cover and cook on 200 for 5 to 6 hours or until the bread pudding is set. Serve the pudding from your Bean Pot or from the larger of the two Home and Garden Party Serving Bowls with a dessert sauce or whipped cream from the smaller of the set. 1 pound ground beef 1 pound ground beef 1 cup diced celery 1 cup diced celery 1/2 cup raw rice 1/2 cup raw rice 1 small onion, diced 1 small onion, diced Brown meat (no need to salt beef) and drain fat. Mix all ingredients together, except Chow Mein noodles, and stir in 1 1/2 cups hot water. Pour into your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot and Bake with lid on for one hour at 350 degrees. Top with Chow Mein noodles and bake with lid off for an addition10 minutes. One pound ground beef One Tbsp prepared mustard One can Pork & Beans 4-8 slices of bacon, diced One can Kidney beans One-half cup diced onion One can white beans One half cup catsup One quarter cup brown sugar One tsp vinegar One Tbsp white granulated sugar One tsp salt Brown ground beef and onion* - drain. Dump it and the rest of the ingredients in your Home and Garden Party Bean Pot. Stir well. Bake with lid on at 350 degrees for one hour. Ground beef may also be browned in your microwave…crumble in your Bean Pot and cook for approximately 7 minutes, stirring to break up ground beef 2-3 times during cook time. 3 cups self-rising flour 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup melted butter 1 can of your favorite beer Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray 3 of your H&GP Cereal Bowls. Combine flour, sugar, shredded cheddar cheese, and beer. Divide dough equally into each bowl and pour melted butter over top. Bake 45-50 minutes. Remove center and fill with your best stew. For more fun...Prepare any 3 H&GP Dip Mixes as directed on package and your bread bowls the night before your party. Remove center of bread bowls and cube for dipping. Fill bowls with various dip mixes. Prepare additional dippers such as chips, crackers, and veggies. One German Chocolate Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” Ingredients needed to prepare cake One can coconut pecan frosting Mix chocolate cake according to the directions on the box. Dump a can of Coconut Pecan frosting in a large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Spread it on the bottom and about half-way up the sides. Pour prepared cake batter on top of icing in the bowl. Place a plate on top (you will want to grease the bottom of the plate). Microwave 14 minutes. If your microwave doesn’t have a carousel, rotate ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Remove the plate and let cool for approximately 10 minutes. Place a serving platter on top of the bowl and carefully invert. Serve with whipped cream if desired. One Spice Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Apple Pie filling Three eggs Pour cake mix into your large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add eggs and pie filling. Mix with spoon. Put plastic wrap over the top of the bowl. Be sure to grease or spray plate or plastic wrap. Put the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for 15 minutes. If the microwave doesn’t have a carousel, rotate ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Let cool for 10-15 minutes then invert cake onto large serving platter ~ Serve with additional pie filling, ice cream, cool whip, or caramel frosting. One Devils Food Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Cherry Pie filling Three eggs Dump cake mix into your Large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add pie filling and eggs and mix with spoon. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or microwave safe plate. Be sure to grease or spray pate or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 15 minutes – if your microwave does not have a carousel, rotate bowl ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and invert onto large serving platter. Garnish with your choice of Cool Whip, ice cream, more pie filling, frosting, and/or nuts and sprinkles. One White or Chocolate Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Raspberry Pie filling Three eggs Dump cake mix into your Large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add pie filling and eggs and mix with spoon. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or microwave safe plate. Be sure to grease or spray pate or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 15 minutes – if your microwave does not have a carousel, rotate bowl ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and invert onto large serving platter. Garnish with your choice of Cool Whip, nuts and shaved chocolate if desired. One Lemon Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Lemon Pie filling Three eggs Dump cake mix into your Large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add pie filling and eggs and mix with spoon. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or microwave safe plate. Be sure to grease or spray pate or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 15 minutes – if your microwave does not have a carousel, rotate bowl ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and invert onto large serving platter. Garnish with Strawberries, Cool Whip and shaved chocolate if desired. One Butter Pecan Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Apple Pie filling Three eggs Vanilla Bean ice cream Caramel ice cream topping Dump cake mix into your Large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add pie filling and eggs and mix with spoon. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or microwave safe plate. Be sure to grease or spray pate or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 15 minutes – if your microwave does not have a carousel, rotate bowl 1/4 turn every 3 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and invert onto large serving platter. Top with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel ice cream topping. One Yellow Cake mix, “pudding in the mix” One can Peach Pie filling Three eggs Dump cake mix into your Large Home & Garden Party Serving Bowl. Add pie filling and eggs and mix with spoon. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or microwave safe plate. Be sure to grease or spray pate or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 15 minutes – if your microwave does not have a carousel, rotate bowl ¼ turn every 3 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and invert onto large serving platter. Garnish with Cool Whip, more pie filling or ice cream if desired.
