Riverside Park is nestled along the Big Cottonwood River. It features an
outdoor swimming pool with a figure-8 water slide and kiddy pool. It also
offers tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, sand volleyball, horseshoe,
and two playground areas. Skating ramps are available. Enjoy a 3.0
mile paved hiking/biking path around the park and along the river to the
Springfield Golf Course. Winter activities include an ice skating rink for open
skating and hockey. Warming house available.
Adjacent to the park is Rothenburg Campground, which has 47 electrical/water
hook-up sites, tenting area, 2 bathhouses with showers and a disposal station.
Reservations available and recommended. Camping fee is payable in advance.
Additional Parks
There are 3 other parks – Browns Park, East End Park, and North Park. All
have playground equipment. Browns Park has a shelter. East End Park has
picnic shelters. Sticker Field is newly renovated consisting of two softball
fields, green space and concession stand with restrooms.
Golfing
Springfield Golf Course is located on the banks of the Big Cottonwood
River. Green fees are welcome and its restaurant is open seasonally.
Disc Golf
18 hole municipal disc golf course. Free to play. Adjacent to Big
Cottonwood River and Salonek Pond. It is unique and fun to play!

Snowmobiling
Ridge Runner Snowmobile Club grooms 80 miles of trails from
Springfield to Cobden, Evan, Comfrey and Sanborn. They host summer
events – Snowblast and Grassdrags in addition to safety training.

will seat 500-600 people for
business meetings and social gatherings, and is designed to
accommodate smaller groups when divided into small rooms. Spacious
windows bring nature’s beauty indoors. The interior is light and bright. It
includes a conference room and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Office.
Step out onto the patio in spring, summer or autumn to enjoy your beverage,
a breath of fresh air, and take in the beauty of the gardens. This area is a
wonderful place for pictures! The flowing fountain and new bridge to the
park both make excellent backgrounds.

inter-library loan service. Springfield and area naturalization records and

and sponsored excellent entertainment for the community. They sponsor
the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre each summer and have teamed up with
the Springfield Public School Theatre Department in combined musical

to a Men’s Invitational and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce in June,

their mission to bring the students to a deeper relationship with Jesus while

Nativity Pageant
Second weekend in December. 100 plus volunteers tell the Christmas story
under the stars in Riverside Park. It features a 50 voice choir, children’s choir,
actresses, actors, dancing angels, brilliant costumes. It includes a live manger
scene with camels. Free admission is a gift to the attendees.
• Provides lots in an 86 acre Industrial Park (with incentives)
Springfield Public School has earned a reputation for excellence and
innovation. The school district prides itself on its facilities, technology,
curriculum and the dedication of its staff. The Springfield school provides
Pre-school-12 and ECSE educational programs. The school district proudly
offers a broad base of extra-curricular activities which have a historic tradition
of success. Community education classes are available to citizens interested in
broadening their horizons.
