The head is actuated with the larger, now standard 4” bore cylinder. The self-contained hydraulic power unit with larger 10 gallon reservoir provides additional cooling. A variable volume, pressure-compensated vain pump provides volume control for bending speed. A double solenoid directional valve replaces the manual valve for improved reliability and repeatability. www.diacro.com PLC controlled bending improves reliability, repeatability, and reduces set up time. The new control package includes an ergonomically positioned two-hand safety switch for added operator safety. An encoder and adjustable “home” position proximity switch provides manual/auto selection with a programmable function. Also included is a “real time” bend angle display and parts counter. 651.342.1756 A wide range of standard tooling options are available for bending various shapes of tubing, angle, channel as well as flat stock, round stock and round tubing. Four adjustable stops allow bends with varying degrees to be progressively made. Modernized controls aid operator safety, improve reliablility and provide programmable bends as a standard feature. These parts are properly hardened to withstand forming pressure and are precision ground for extreme accuracy. They are also available unhardened so they can be further processed by the user for bending materials which must be confined or supported during the bending operation, no extra charge. When ordering tooling for Benders, state model of Bender, centerline or inside radius and material to be bent. HELPFUL TIP SPRINGBACK – when determining the size of the Raduis Pin or Collar, springback due to elasticity in the material to be formed, should be compensated for. One way is by overbending slightly beyond the required angle. After the amount of springback has been determined, the Angle Gauge can be set so that all bends will be duplicated. In addition to overbending, it may be necessary in some cases to form the material around a Radius Pin or Radius Collar of smaller radius than the desired bend. The actual size of the Radius Pin or Collar can be best determined through experimentation for the material and condition. This is also true of the clamp block and pressure tool as only by completely confining the material can a good bend be obtained. If the desired bend radius is critical and must be held to a tight tolerance, it is necessary to bend the material around a bending form having a smaller radius then the required bend. All metal has springback. The amount of springback is dependent on the type of material, size and hardness. To determine the exact radius of the bending form, it is usually necessary to experiment somewhat to determine the desired form size. 10 1/8" 3" 1/8" 6" 3/16" 3" 3/16" 6" 1/4" 3" 1/4" 6" 5/16" 3" 5/16" 6" 3/8" 6" 3/8" 9" 3/8" 12" 7/16" 6" Follow Block - Used 7/16" 9" with Grooved Radius Collar for tube bending. 7/16" 12" 1/2" 6" 1/2" 9" 1/2" 12" 5/8" 6" 5/8" 9" 5/8" 12" 3/4" 9" 3/4" 12" 3/4" 15" 7/8" 9" 7/8" 15" 7/8" 21" 1"12" 1"15" 1"21" $53 $68 $53 $68 $53 $68 $53 $68 $68 — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — $64 — — $79 — — $64 — — $79 — — $79 $90 — — $105— — $132— $79 $90 — — $105 — — $132 — $79 $90 $90 — $105$105 — $132$132 — $90 $90 — $132$132 — $158$158 — $105$105 — $132$132 — $158$158 — — $105 — — $158 — — $210 — — $132 — — $158 — — $210 BENDER TOOLING Grooved Radius Collars 1 Bender C/L Radius Price 1/8" 1/8" 1/8" 3/16" 3/16" 3/16" 1/4" 1/4" 1/4" 5/16" 5/16" 5/16" 3/8" 3/8" 3/8" 3/4" 1" 1/2" 3/4" 1" 5/8" 1" 1-1/4" 3/4" 1" 1-1/4" 1" 1-1/4" $195 $205 $215 $195 $205 $215 $205 $215 $225 $205 $215 $225 $215 $225 Tube Dia. FOR DETAILS ABOUT STANDARD BENDING APPLICATIONS: Square Crush Bending Tooling – Crush bend tooling is used primarily for bending thin wall tubing to a tight radius. If it is not necessary for the formed section to retain its original shape, such as in structural components, the tubing can be uniformly indented with this tooling. The “crush” on the inside radius adds more strength to the bend, as well as making it possible to form a tight radius with controlled distortion in the bend. Request the “Art of Bending” publication which provides step-by-step instructions to make numerous bends and includes details on the tooling required to work with a variety of materials. 11 NOTCHER/ROD PARTER Hand Operated Tab Notcher Model No.2 The Di-Acro Tab Notcher is a versatile, heavy-duty tool which cuts any size notch to 6" x 6" with any size tab to 1" in one operation. This precision machine actually “parts off” rather than cuts, employing a combination shearing-breaking action. This operation leaves material burr-free, with no further processing required. One cutting head is stationary; the other moves in response to a pull on the operating handle. The second head moves just enough to start a shearing action; once a cut has been made in confined material, the remaining portion of the rod breaks off. Hard materials such as cold rolled steel and hard aluminum offer the best “parting” action. Properly hardened and ground alloy steel cutting heads assure a high degree of accuracy. Heads are reversible for double service, easily removed for sharpening and easily replaced. The idler roll always returns to its present position, allowing duplication with a high degree of accuracy. Calibrated rear roll indicators enable the operator to quickly adjust the machine when changing from one rolling size to another. Small circles, approximately the same diameter as the forming rolls, can be produced in one operation. Circles of any larger diameter can be created in just two passes through the rolls. Round, flat, square and other materials can be formed with Di-Acro Rollers by grooving the bending rolls to fit the shape of the material. Grooving must be specified at time of order. Flat Material: Cam Idler Roll Forms a variety of shapes with a simple adjustment of the lever. 1 2 3 4 5 6 855.651.8948 Flat material can be rolled part way through the rolls (Illustration A) and when the cam lever is engaged, the idler roll is raised and a bend is formed. Disengaging the cam lever lowers the idler roll, and the material again passes through the rolls in a horizontal or flat position. It is thus possible to form a wide variety of shapes with the Di-Acro Roller.
