Thank you for your interest in The Academy of Charter Schools! The Academy’s lottery window is open annually from August 1st through January 15th with the private lottery being conducted the last week of January. To add your student to the lottery list for the 2015-2016 school year, please visit the school’s website, www.theacademyk12.org, and click on the Enrollment Information tab located on the Academy Lottery Application link. Please complete the form and click Submit. Once you submit your application, your student will be added to the lottery list. You will need to complete a form for each student. We will begin notifying parents of openings for their students beginning February 2, 2015. We ask that parents do not contact us until March 23, 2015 to inquire about their student’s position on the waitlist. The number of openings The Academy has each year varies and is determined by the number of students that do not return. Unfortunately, the majority of our openings don’t present themselves until the summer months. We do continue to enroll until October 1st. If your student is not selected for current school year, you will need to re-apply for the 2016-2017 school year beginning in August of 2015. If you have any questions regarding enrollment, please do not hesitate to contact the Registrar’s Office. Thank you and we look forward to serving you and your students. voice. Please encourage all students to make their experience at The Academy a good one. Involvement in school is proven to increase attendance and academic achievement. Encourage the students to start clubs in areas of interest to them. Eligibility Eligibility will be turned in by 3:30 pm on Thursday. This report will affect the following week’s eligibility. Any student receiving 1-F or 2-D’s will be considered ineligible for the week. Student work turned in on Friday will help toward regaining eligibility on the next eligibility check. It will not be used to regain eligibility from the prior Thursday report. Aaron Riessen Assistant Principal/Athletic Director 7-12
