The movement of water is captured by seeing the entire myriad of colors on and below the surface, and by communicating an understanding of light’s reflection and refraction. This work shop is aimed at helping one see more than you have before when painting water. www.dickmcevoypaintings.com As students work from the model, Ellen helps her students engage in intense color analysis of the subtle gradations of flesh tones and translate the complexities of tone and form into a beautifully harmonious construction. Digital images of the instructor’s works in progress will illustrate the development of her perceptions from start to completion of her portraits and still life paintings.
