PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
INTRODUCTION
Forming part of the well established Protec range, the premium LED variant offers lumen output packages up to 3000lm
making it suitable as a primary light source for high end specifications, such as receptions, offices, retail, corridors, meeting
rooms, airports and educational establishments. With impressive energy cost savings (with short capital cost payback
periods) over its fluorescent equivalents, it is an ideal option to tie in with environmental management policies, requiring a
commitment to energy reduction. The Protec LED comes with a number of bezel, reflector, beam angle and colour
attachment options and once installed, reflectors and colour attachments can be easily removed and replaced. This allows
for lighting updates in-line with changes to room layout, new branding colour schemes or display rearrangement. IP65 rating
can be achieved for use in bathrooms and wet areas and BSEN 12464 glare compliant variants are available for use in
offices. The Protec LED also comes with a range of emergency and dimming options and is also compatible with a wide
range of Dextra sensors offering both presence control and daylight regulation allowing for increased energy savings and
better return on investment. Custom bezels available on request for retrofit applications to ensure suitability for existing
ceiling cut outs.

Although lumen packages will always remain the same, lumens per watt will only improve in line with developments to the
Philips Fortimo chip technology. This offers improved performance and greater efficiency. For further information about the

Four point self clamping spring bracket retains fitting in ceiling for an ultra quick installation.
One cut-out size – 160mm diameter.
Ceiling thickness from 3mm to 42mm (use Liteyoke 3mm plywood patress when mounting to soft tiles).
Suitable for plasterboard, mineral fibre and metal tile installation.

Variations
Once installed, reflectors and colour attachments can be easily removed and replaced. This allows for lighting updates inline with changes to room layout, new branding colour schemes or display rearrangement.
There are a number of bezel, reflector, beam angle and colour attachment options.
IP44 clear cover fits all model sizes and can be fitted over colour attachments (IP65 if silicone sealed).

WARRANTY
All Dextra products are supplied with a 12 month warranty for any defect that may occur with the product during this time.
Any defect will either be repaired on site free of charge or the defective product may be replaced on a chargeable basis and
credit given against defective product returned. The course of action taken will be at our discretion and dependent on the
nature of the defect.
The control gear within our high frequency and LED luminaires is further underwritten by our suppliers for a period of up to 5
years in total from the time of purchase. This comprises labour and parts for the first 3 years and free of charge components
Protec LED
only for the final 2 years.
PROTEC LED FR 8W GU10 variants and Emergency LED ranges are exempt from the 5 year warranty and are supplied with
1 year warranty only. PROTEC LED COB luminaires are supplied with a two year warranty for replacement luminaires only.
All warranties are subject to correct use of the product and will be invalidated by misuse, for example incorrect installation or
unsuitable environmental conditions.
It is the duty of the customer to ensure that all relevant tests have been carried out prior to requesting site visits or
replacement products, for example replacement of lamps, commissioning of sensors and inspection of external wiring. In the
event that no defect is found with the product our costs for attending site will be recharged to the customer and credit will not
be issued against returned products.
No consequential losses incurred resulting from any defect with our product will be reimbursed.
Consumable commodities such as lamps, starters and batteries are excluded from these warranty terms. Batteries are
supplied with a twelve month warranty only.
5 year warranty on LED product ranges is subject to a maximum of 4000 operating hours per year and only applies where
failures exceed the component manufacturers expected failure rate and lumen depreciation.
