Ford MSVII 170 x 96
Type III Ambulance Conversion
The MSVII is a 170”L x 96”W Type III modular
body with 72” head room for interior comfort
mounted on a Ford E-450, V-10 gas chassis. The
.125” exterior walls of the ambulance retain the
smooth, strong look that is our signature while
our new, enhanced door design adds to the unit’s
aesthetic appearance and modular performance.
Our commitment to quality, product integrity
and occupant safety is your assurance of our
concern for the wellbeing of the patient and the
men and women who provide lifesaving care in
the backs of our modular ambulances… a
commitment we’re proud of.
We hope this “walk-around” of the Ford MSVII 170 x 96 Type III by MEDIX Specialty
Vehicles, Inc. will assist you in making an informed choice about purchasing a Ford 170
modular ambulance.

Testing the doors with a static load of 74,279 lbs.
NOTE: Unit tested without corner or roof radius cap extrusions
which are cosmetic only
Full length vertical welds
at four corners and full
perimeter weld around the
roof radius complemented by 6”-8” interval welds
at the four vertical interior corners and the entire
interior of the roof perimeter.
At Medix Specialty Vehicles, we do not design our ambulances to just meet the Federal guidelines; we work hard to
exceed them. Safety was engineered and constructed into the unit as a standard feature. We took the certification
process to the extreme by instructing the independently certified laboratory to push the limits on the static load
test. They put over 74,000 pounds of force on our ambulance body, which is over two times the required amount,
with no unfavorable structural effect and the exterior doors functioned normally during and after the test.
