Denby have generations of hard-won experience using local
iron-rich clay and unique glaze recipes to create beautiful,
durable tableware.
Still using many traditional hand-crafting techniques and
time-honoured skills, each piece passes through at least 20 pairs
of hands before it gets the Denby stamp of approval.
The Denby approach has always been about creating beautiful

Choosing the right tableware can sometimes feel like a daunting process; making
sure you have the pieces which suit your style, the way you eat as a family
or entertain, selecting the right pieces which will perform well at home and
ensuring you’re choosing items which are worth your investment. Denby have

Denby knows modern dining; from ideally sized bowls for cereal,
soup or pasta as well as noodle and rice dishes, generous plates
in key sizes, impressive entertaining pieces such as platters,
serving bowls and nibble bowls.

inspired by the iconic Chevron pattern of the
sixties and seventies, showcases the earthy,
artisan roots of the range.
When Denby senior designer Gill Pemberton
designed the revolutionary Chevron range back
in the 1960s, it was hailed as a classic almost
immediately. Its Scandinavian influences, tactile
glazes and functional forms gelled well with the
move towards a more casual, warmer way of
sitting down to dinner.
Like all Denby ranges, Natural Canvas has
been designed for living and made to last. Smart
design features are built in to the shape and
sizing of the range. Its rich yet neutral glaze
means it can comfortably sit with any home
décor as well as mix and match with other ranges,
and will never date – a true investment in iconic,
contemporary tableware which can loved and
enjoyed everyday.
Using this iconic range from the Denby archive
to inspire a range designed for today’s home, the
designers of Natural Canvas have now created a

Taking inspiration from intense and mesmerising
emerald jewels, Greenwich brings an eyecatching colour palette to any dinner table. With

Speaking of green, Denby believe that what goes
around comes around, and are rather proud to be

‘zero to landfill’ for all their process waste.

The more relaxed, but equally popular sibling
to Imperial Blue is the perfect combination of
understated and sophisticated.
Expertly crafted for over 25 years as with Imperial
Blue, this much-loved collection simply oozes
timeless elegance.
Regency’s subtle, natural sage green watercolour
palette gives the range a feminine, breezy and
muted feel. It may look delicate, but it’s made from
hardy Derbyshire clay and fired twice to make it
super strong and chip resistant.

Reviving the spirit of 1950s Britain, moreish
ice-cream hues meet retro graphic motifs,
transporting you to countryside days of
yesteryear.
After digging through the archives, Denby stumbled
across these wonderful vintage patterns and had to
bring them back. Using the strongest clay locally
sourced from the fields by the factory, craftsmen
have reinvented a special new speckle that’s equally
long-lasting. With shades of mint macaroon, lemon
sorbet and a touch of rustic warm copper you can
easily recreate a relaxed homely kitchen feel with
true artisan quality.

A classic blend of elegant, contemporary blues
and intricate detailing gives this collection a
relaxed by the sea feel.
Denby may be one of Britain’s oldest surviving
manufacturers, but they are never short of new
ideas. Fountain is the latest addition to their
Heritage Collection, borrowing inspiration from
the artists of St Ives. Its rich, blue glazes reflect the
nautical colours of sea spray and summer skies.
The textures and movement of the range work

Denby’s heritage, Gypsy from the 70s collection

Derbyshire’s rolling hills and delightful dales, the
Orchard range celebrates a natural way of life.

The eclectic pattern of an iconic design has been
lovingly restored and updated with a truly modern
makeover.
In the 60s the Arabesque oven-to-tableware range
was launched. The design was highly decorative
and a true reflection of the aesthetics of the time.
Now a new generation of craftsmen are masterfully
updating this collection from Denby’s past. The
Veranda range retains its bold folk-style patterns
while also introducing a harmonious earthy palette
of buttery yellows, soft sage and refreshing duck egg.

A soft, french grey with speckled texture glaze
and ‘golden’ break in the glaze. The stylised ‘folk’
imagery is based on the iconic ‘Arabesque’ design
from the 1960s.
A sister pattern to Veranda, Terrace also takes its
inspiration from Arabesque but uses soft muted
greys in line with modern houseware trends.
The Terrace range still holds the boldness of the folk
