IFHT2016 About Sendai Sendai is the largest city in the north-east region of Japan with 1M residents. The present city has been founded in 1600 by Date Masamune, a prominent lord of the age of provincial wars in Japan. Sendai is located about 300 kilometer north of Tokyo. It takes 1.6 hours by Shinkansen (rapid train) from Tokyo, and also there are flight services from many cities in Japan and some foreign cities. Sendai, the city well known by its nickname of "city of trees", welcomes you in November, 2016, with beautiful autumn color of leaves and a good occasion of heat transfer forum. The IFHT was started in Kyoto 2004, and then the second and third Scope of the Forum Yoshinori Itaya Professor Gifu University Japan IFHT were held in Tokyo 2008 and Nagasaki 2012, respectively, where the fusion of nano-, micro- and bio-technologies with heat transfer science was selected as the main theme. The Fourth IFHT to be held during November 2-4, 2016 in Sendai focuses upon heat and mass transfer, and world-prominent scientists are encourages prospective authors to actively participate in this international gathering. The Shiro Nukiyama Memorial Award will be presented during IFHT2016. Session Keywords Air conditioning Bio and medical Boiling Combustion Condensation Conduction Convection Cooling and cryogenics Electronic cooling Electric field and plasma Energy system Environment Evaporation Fuel cell Gas turbine Heat exchanger Heat pipe Heat pump Heat transfer enhancement Heat transfer under extreme condition Hydrogen Industrial application Jet Manufacturing Mass transfer Materials processing Mathmatics and computation Measurenent and equipment Melting and solidification MEMS Micro and nano scale Mixed convection Molecular dynamics Multiphase Natural and renewable energy Non-linear thermal fluid phenomena Nuclear energy Particulate and spray Phase change Porous media Radiation Solar energy Thermal design Thermodynamics Thermophysical properties Turbulence Two-phase flow community to disseminate information in collaboration with other heat transfer communities in the world, which leads to production of new seeds in this research area. To accomplish this mission, the HTSJ proposes a Gary Rosengarten Professor RMIT University Australia invited to deliver keynote lectures. General contributed papers are also invited in all area of heat and mass transfer. The organizing committee The heat transfer society of Japan (HTSJ) now realizes its responsibility as one of the world-largest and most active heat transfer forum on heat transfer, which aimes to gather researchers from all over the world and create a new trends in the heat transfer research.
