The solution for Boat Covers Each boat cover is customization. This means that a boat cover must be measured accurately before it can be replaced. Instead of two persons, cutting plastic foil in bad weather circumstances, the Proliner® offers the ideal solution. Using this solution, the boat cover can be measured within a short time frame. It does not matter where your boat is located; with the Proliner® you can make measurements anywhere. The Proliner® is also weather-resistant, so measurements can be perfectly done summer as well as winter. All measurements are directly converted into a digital DXF CAD file which can be edited accordingly. To ensure efficiency and accuracy in measuring boat covers, Prodim has developed a complete measurement solution. This solution consists of the Proliner®, advanced software and the Prodim Plotter. All measurement obstacles will be overcome using this combination. The measurement solution for boat covers In addition to boat covers, the principle of 3D measurement and the conversion into a 2D drawing for further processing are also used for slip covers, protective covers and tarpaulins. New! In addition to the Proliner, Prodim offers also the IPT (Inverted Pen Technology) and the Hook Pen. Using the IPT, it is now even easier to measure hard to reach points, such as points located on the outside of the boat edge. The great advantage of this is that the measuring device does not need to be moved. The Hook Pen allows you to measure tubular frames, such as bimini tops, simply and quickly. Measure and digitize a boat cover easily and quickly with the Proliner®! Measuring with the Proliner ® principle: 1. Place the Proliner® on the boat The Proliner® is placed at a central position on the boat. 2. Determine the design to be measured This step determines what needs to be measured. By defining reference points, the final result of the design is visualized. Direct measurement on location 3. Measure tubes With the new tool, the Hook Pen, it is possible to measure the outside of tubes. 4. Measure the boat edge and the windshield Then the boat edge is measured precisely with the IPT . The windshield is measured on those points to which the tubular frame is stretched. 5.Consider any obstacles For each measurement object, there are obstacles which have to be taken into account for the production. Possible obstacles should therefore be visible in the drawing. IPT: solution for measuring around obstacles 6. Edit the drawing in CAD The measurements are readily available as a DXF file. Using the software 3D drawings are converted into 2D drawings in CAD, after which seams, zippers, overlap and gaps can be added. 7. Cut or plot drawings As soon as the DXF drawing is ready for production, it can be cut by each CNC machine or plot on canvas by means of the Prodim Plotter.
