Regency Care Chair Features
Regency Care Chair Features
Posture, Pressure Care and Correct Positioning are the objects of the design of the
Regency Care Chair range.
Regency Care Chair Features
Whether it be the frail aged, semi and non-ambulant patient, clients with severe physical
disabilities and those with neurological conditions, the ability to function correctly
requires correct posture.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Regency Care Chair combines dynamic seating movement and
pressure cushioning with many other unique features to assist with patient
care and function for the carer.
Drop-down/removable* armrests - Allow for unrestricted access, useful
for patient care, sling fitting/removal and make side transfers possible. This
feature also makes the task of cleaning easier.
ADJUSTABILITY
Swing-away headwings - Leave unrestricted access for side transfers and
allow the carer to be closer to the patient when assisting with feeding,
washing and other care procedures.
Tilt-in-space - Allows the patient to be tilted forward or backward whilst
maintaining the position of the knees and hips. This tilting action also has
the effect of distributing body weight over a larger surface area. It is
recommended that the patients' position is changed at regular intervals to
combat build up of pressure in localised areas.
Backrest Recline - Allows for optimum patient comfort and spread of body
weight. The Regency Care Chair is almost totally unique amongst mobile
pressure care chairs in that the backrest may be laid completely flat* - the
'layflat' position assists with side transfers, patient care and rest periods.
Legrest - Folds away under the front of the chair and when coupled with the
forward tiling action, assists with standing transfers or for use with 'toileting'
or 'stand-up' lifters.
FLEXIBILITY
The needs of every patient are different. That is why the Regency Care
Chair is available in a wide selection of sizing options. A comprehensive
range of optional accessories is available to further fine tune the chair(s)
for specific patient needs. Should you have special requirements, we can
arrange for a chair to be built to your specification (subject to certain
conditions)
Elevating Legrest - Assists with lymphatic and blood circulation in
patients that are sitting for long periods of time. Regular adjustment of
legrest angle helps to combat muscle contractures developing. The
Regency Care Chair has a length adjustable legrest* which is easily
altered in seconds to suit varying leg lengths.
Footrest - The unique foldaway padded footrest reduces the instance of
forward sliding and also reduces the chance of 'footdrop' developing.
Clinical trials indicate an improvement in cognitive function with some
patients.
*Some models are available with this feature as standard - on others it may be an optional extra.
PRESSURE CARE
The Regency Flotation System has been proven through years of clinical
use. Incorporating a fluid gel seat cushion with a unique and effective
selfcompensating air cushioned backrest. The patient surfaces are covered
with 'POLYSOFT' material. Polysoft is a multi-directional stretch material
that is waterproof, breathable and reduces skin shear. This effective
combination works together to distribute weight and reduce pressure on
body prominences.

S4300 Care Chair
The S4000 range of Healthcare Seating is a synergy of functionality, comfort and
performance, designed with both the user and carer in mind. Suitable for a variety of
applications, this range allows caring to be less restrictive.
S4100 Care Chair
The S4100 Chair is a further development of the Regency R2900 model and retains all of
the versatility and features of that chair. It benefits from fully electric operation of the tiltin-space, reclining backrest and elevating legrest functions.
From Intensive Care to Palliative Care, the S4300 is designed to be a vital part of your
patient care plan. The electric operation of Hi/Lo adjustments mean that transfers and
patient care can be carried out at the correct working height by staff.
This means that all of the positioning adjustments can be made at the touch of a button
on the handset, easing the load on nursing staff or giving the patient some independence
over their positioning(where appropriate).
Gas assisted operation of seat tilt allows positioning of patient and when combined with
the pressure management cushioning in the seat and the backrest, patient comfort is
cared for. Backrest and legrest angle are adjustable by either gas assisted operation or
convenient electric control. Customise the S4300 with any of the available options and
you have a patient chair that works with nursing staff to complete the circle of care.
