gDMSS APP FOR ANDROID DEVICES
Customers who wish to view their DVRs online through their Android mobile device must follow these
instructions step by step.
Downloading the app:
1. Go to the Play Store on your device; in the search bar type in gDMSS, and press search.
2. You will see a search result page like the one below. Click on gDMSS lite (note: any of the gDMSS
versions will work. The paid version does have more features available though)
3. Click the install icon and follow the prompts to download and install the app.
4. After the application is installed, go to the app screen on your device and look for the gDMSS
icon. Click on it to open the app.
Establishing Connection:
5. After the app opens, click on the menu icon on the top left.
6. On the next screen click on Device Manager.
7. On the next screen, click on the + (plus) sign on the top right of the screen.
8. On the next screen, click on Register Mode and change it to IP/Domain.
9. Type in the DVR information: Name (anything you want), IP address, port, user name and
password. Then press the save button on the top right of the screen.
(if you wish to add multiple DVRs you can do so repeating the previous steps)
10. Click on the menu icon on the top left to expand the main menu.
11. Click on Live Preview.
12. Click on the + (plus) sign in any of the available channels (four channels are displayed by default)
13. Click on the name of the DVR you just added to expand and then select a camera from the drop
down menu.
14. The camera you selected will show up on the screen. You can select multiple cameras to be
viewed at the same time by repeating the previous steps using the available squares on the
screen.
15. You can use the square buttons at the bottom to change the screen up to a 16 view. If you
double tap one square, it will become full screen for just that camera. You can double tap again
to go back.
Playback Recordings:
1. Click on the menu icon on the top left to expand the main menu. Then click on Playback.
2. On the Playback screen, click on the + (plus) icon. The screen to choose a time frame to playback
will appear. Select a date and time to playback.

3. The app will start playing back from the time you selected. You will see the controls at the
bottom of the screen to control the playback.
