STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR REVIEW
The cream of Scandinavia’s design industry came out in force for this small but mighty fair. At
the entrance, Nendo created an installation of mountainous landscapes from foamboard; inside,
the Hello! seminar area (see previous page) by Gert Wingårdh and Kustaa Saksi was made from
700,000 sheets of A4 paper. Meanwhile, these top-notch brands showed us their latest wares…

KINNARPS
Kinnarps’ new hexagonal
Trixagon furniture range
is designed to tessellate and be
easily rearranged. The table,
storage unit and stool are all
on castors, making it easy to
quickly move them around into
different formations. The stool
can be upholstered in a range
of Kinnarps fabrics, while the
table and storage units are
available in white, grey or
birch, beech or oak laminate.
OFFECCT +
CATE & NELSON <
&TRADITION
Perhaps onoffice’s favourite
piece at the show was Cate
& Nelson’s Netframe sofa
and chair for Offecct, for its
combination of invitingly
plump pebble-like cushions
and slim, modern outer shell.
Made from a lightweight
mesh frame, the range uses
as little material as possible
to minimise its impact on the
environment, but remains
extremely comfortable.
In contrast to the mass of super-thin chairs at the show, the
In Between chair from Danish brand &tradition is relatively
chunky, harking back to the sturdy elegance of mid-century
Scandinavian design. Designed by Finnish designer Sami
Kallio, it is available in white or smoked oiled oak, and
stained black or grey ash.
OFFECCT + JEAN-MARIE MASSAUD
One of Jean-Marie Massaud’s two new
pieces for Offecct, Islands is a seating
system designed to be mixed and matched.
The modules are different sizes, shapes and
heights, and covered in complementary
materials, textures and patterns, offering a
range of options for any setting. An integral
cavity for plants can also be incorporated.
ABSTRACTA
Stefan Borselius has
brought some muchneeded design thinking to
whiteboard systems with
Moow for Abstracta. The
panels can slide vertically

or horizontally on the
wall-mounted rail, or be
detached to sit freestanding
on wheels. Moow also
features a nicely curving
form and neat black border.
