ADMISSION 2016 Undergraduate Programmes offered by Babeș-Bolyai University for the 2016 Admission BACHELOR'S DEGREE The present brochure contains the specialisations offered by the Babes-Bolyai University at undergraduate level for Admission in 2016. Further information about the admission can be found at http://admitere.ubbcluj.ro. Please access from this website both the general information on the admission procedure, and the information on the required specialisations on the faculties websites. The information can be accessed from the main page menu, at "structure" and then "faculties". For any further details, respectively complete information on the specialisations, please refer to the admission committees of the faculties that provide these specialisations. The number of places – financed and tuition places – are communicated by the Ministry and by the University subsequent to the publication of this informative brochure. Any further alterations of the present material, provided further regulations are issued by the Ministry of National Education, respectively following the authorization of new specialisations, will be promptly communicated via all available means. For the admission exam, candidates will choose one of the three disciplines: Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Mathematics-Algebra. The test subject is elaborated according to the syllabus for these subjects and can be found at: http://chem.ubbcluj.ro/admitere/tematica.html. The test will consist in 6 multiple choice questions (out of which only one is correct), selected out of a set of 50 multiple choice questions which will be posted on http://chem.ubbcluj.ro/admitere/tematica.html at least 4 months before the admission exam. In the registration form the language of choice for the admission exam will be specified. 17 Admission score is calculated as an arithmetic mean between the grade obtained in the admission test and the average obtained at the baccalaureate exam according to the formula: Admission score = 0.2 x (admission test grade) + 0.8 x (baccalaureate exam average) As an alternative to multiple choice test the result of the "Candin Liteanu" competition can be taken into account. After completion of written test in Romanian language, candidates will write in maximum 30 minutes an essay in an international language (English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish) on a Pass/ Fail basis.
