ASHLA VICTORIA AGM REPORT
This year’s ASHLA Victoria AGM was held at the quaint Fyansford Hotel (near Geelong) on the 11th of
May. The day kicked off with a few drinks and chats, but then it was down to business.
Firstly the Hi Point awards were announced, and the awards were handed out by the current president
Mardi Johnson. There were plenty of smiles from the hard working recipients.
After the awards were presented, the office bearers seats were declared empty and the token male for the
day– David Dickerson took the chair to find a new committee. Fiona Glover was nominated for president and
was dually elected, while Mandy Trotter was nominated and accepted the role of Vice President. The secretaries
position was next, and Fiona wanted the experienced Pixie Heath by her side and Pixie was certainly elected
unopposed. Pixie, been the wonderful multi tasker also took on the role of Point scorer for the season. The ladies
that were present all took o the role of general committee.
Items that were discussed included a state wide fundraiser, a social night, one possibly two ladies clinic,
the roles of the delegates, and the membership drive for ASHLA Victoria.
The day finished with a lovely lunch and good cheer. Thanks to all who attended and we look forward to
the next get together.
ASHLA VICTORIA 2012 HI POINT AWARDS
At our AGM there were many hard working ladies present and all waiting to hear how the 2012
Hi Point results would pan out........ The results were announced and those present collected their
wonderful framed certificates and a lovely prize that were sponsored by Pixie Rugs, Barwon Ag and
Saddleworld in Geelong.
All winners as well as runner ups in each sections received prizes, and the recipients were most
appreciative.

Congratulations Kim Fullgrabe
Wow...... at this years National Stock Horse
Show at Tamworth, East Gippsland’s Kim Fullgrabe
decided to join ASHLA, merely to give her horse
Heathville Sparkle a run before her other classes.
Kim and Heathville “Sparkle” impressed not
only the bystanders but also the judges.
In her first ever ASHLA class, Kim was placed a
commending 5th and also won the Novice ASHLA
award.
Kim borrowed a “spare saddle” from friend,
Katie Hallett and gave it a good spit and polish.
This does clearly tell us that older, clean and
well cared for gear does get the credit it deserves.
Well done Kim!
