Well recognised
Competence, experience, neutrality –
these are essential criteria for assessing
a service supplier. That's why national
and international bodies used these
very same criteria in their assessment of
I2PS an the Test Laboratory Bonn.
Test Laboratory Bonn was accredited
by the German Accreditation Body
for Technology (DATech) as early as
1991. The accreditation in accordance
with the current DIN/EN ISO/IEC 17025
covers the areas of industrial lowvoltage switchgear and controlgear,
the safety of electrical equipment,
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
as well as environmental testing.
This documents the test laboratory's
competence and know-how. Absolute
confidentiality during testing is
guaranteed.
Recognition worldwide:
All these institutions have confirmed that the
I2PS carries out its tests and inspections with
absolute competence.
Experienced staff, state-of-the-art testing
equipment and optimised procedures ensure
the fast, reliable and cost-effective completion
of your orders for development tests, special
tests accompanying production, type testing
right up to certification tests.
Capable partners
To bring customers closer to the aim
of "one-stop testing”, with access
to world markets with only one test
report, I2PS is collaborating with UL
International Germany, the German
subsidiary of Underwriters Laboratories,
one of the world's leading certification
bodies in the field of product safety
based in the USA. This enables the
CB Scheme certification for industrial
switchgear and switchgear assemblies
to be offered jointly.
The CB Scheme of the IECEE is a
procedure currently practised in 47
countries that is based on the mutual
recognition of certificates and test
reports.
International acceptance
I2PS is also recognised and respected
outside of the scope of the CB
Scheme. For many years, I2PS has been
authorised by the US certification body
Underwriter Laboratories Inc. and CSA
International in Canada to perform
and document tests for all customers
in the field of low-voltage technology
in compliance with the relevant
regulations.
The Test Laboratory Bonn is also
approved by LOVAG (Low Voltage
Agreement Group) – the association
of certification bodies in Europe – as
a LOVAG testing laboratory with ID
number D01.
The renowned international
certification body ASTA and a host of
ship classification societies have also
recognised the quality of the work at
Test Laboratory Bonn.
Test reports from the accredited field
are therefore the basis for certification
that is valid internationally.

Environmental simulations
Temperature, humidity, sun, water,
dust, vibrations, shock.
In their daily use, electrotechnical
products are exposed to a wide range
of natural and artificial environmental
influences. Therefore, these products
have to meet high requirements of
robustness. This explains why tests
by which environmental hazards
and environmental compatibility are
verified, are of great importance.
Such tests simulate the conditions
prevailing during the transportation,
storage and operation of these
products and they are carried out
to verify that a product is fit for its
intended use, even if operated in
extreme service conditions.

The operation of modern QM systems
involves the monitoring of testing
and measuring equipment. The
regular calibration of all measuring
equipment required for quality tasks
has now become standard practice.
Your measuring equipment is tested
in rooms which are climatically and
access controlled. Powerful state-ofthe-art calibration equipment and
qualified staff with many years of
experience guarantee the highest
degree of accuracy. Standard
calibration certificates are issued to
document calibration. The calibration
services are regularly audited by
Quality Assurance for compliance
with the relevant standards EN ISO
9001 (Quality Management Systems),
ISO/IEC 17025 (Test Laboratories) and
ISO 10012 (Quality Assurance for
Measuring Equipment).
Scope of tests
Calibration equipment:
Multi calibrators
Voltage: 1 mV – 1,2 kV
Current:
10 µA – 2 A
Frequency: 0 Hz – 1 MHz
