Unplug from outlet when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts. • Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. • Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons. • Do not use Wellbox on a child younger than 7 years old. • Do not leave a child younger than 11 years old use Wellbox without close supervision. • Think about reducing the treatment intensity on a child (7 years old and above) • Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. • Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service centre for examination and repair. www.wellbox.com 5 ® ® Description of the machine Warning / To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons : • Do not carry this appliance by its top cover, its supply cord or use cord as a handle. • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. • Never drop or insert any object into any opening. • Do not use outdoors. • Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered. • To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet. Wellbox is the first “Body Optimizer” developed based on the Guitay ® experience. The machine’s body holds the control panel, one treatment Roll head and the connecting hose. The top cover allows some storage space for a set of 4 different treatment heads and closes the machine down after use. 4 Notices • Verify that the mains voltage matches the AC Power adapter (100 – 240V) • The appliance must be connected on a wall plug that conforms to the country specific standards • Avoid connecting Wellbox on an AC multi-plug device • Avoid water spillage onto Wellbox • Do not use Wellbox if the ambient temperature is above 40°C • Never use Wellbox without its filter • Solely use Wellbox with its provided heads and accessories • Do not use chemical products, detergents, solvents for cleaning Wellbox. • Do not drop, shake or knock Wellbox. • Do not get the flexible all over water. • Usage must never be painful, induce durable blotches or to leave traces on the skin. • Wrap your hairs in a protection as you use the motorized heads in the vicinity. • Wellbox can be use in any healthy body part, except the eyes, the throat, the genitals, interior of the mouth, the ears, mucous membranes and nipples. • Do not use against medical indications (refer to the list mentioned in the instructions manual). • Do not use Wellbox on a pregnant woman. • For any doubts about the compatibility of your healthwith the use, request advise from your doctor. 10 6 1 7 8 2 9 11 12 5 3 1 2 3 4 . . . . 5 . 6. 7 . 8. 9. 10. 11 . 12 . Save these instructions 6 www.wellbox.com www.wellbox.com 7 ® ® Control pannel description Treatment heads description The control panel allows for the simple and easy use of Wellbox. It is comprised of a series of 8 buttons and an LCD screen showing the different parameters to be adjusted before beginning a treatment session. Using the control buttons you may : The complete Wellbox includes 5 different treatment heads. You are thus guaranteed to have, at all times, a solution most suited for the treatment required and for the body area to be treated. Three Roll heads Each Roll head includes removable seals. 1 . Removable seals. www.wellbox.com For heads’ maintenance, please refer to page 15. www.wellbox.com 9 ® ® Installation Treatment heads description Before installing your machine, it is advised that you make yourself familiar with the precautions associated with the installation and usage of the device (see pages 5 and 6). Two Lift heads Lift head with removable flaps Put the four treatment heads away in the spaces provided. Each head’s dedicated storage area is indicated with a pictogram. Open the machine by pressing on the button located in front. To connect the hose to the machine, do as follows : Insert the connecting hose with the arrow (in relief) on top as shown on the picture. Lift head with removable flaps The connecting hose may be joined on either side. To disconnect it, pull carefully. Never turn or force the connecting hose. Then, you may connect the treatment head of your choice to the hose : Choose a head, then attach it to the hose, matching the red arrows. Repeat this operation every time you wish to change the treatment head. Flat side Two specific disassembly tools i.e. one for each head After use, the hose is easily stored by coiling it in the designed area, as shown in the picture. Tapered side For heads’ maintenance, please refer to page 16. 10 www.wellbox.com www.wellbox.com 11 ® ® Starting-up Power supply Wellbox is supplied with a power supply box that contains : • A main power supply. Input 100-240 VAC, 50/60Hz – Output 24 VDC • Four power socket adapters To connect your machine, do as follows : Before starting-up your machine, it is advised that you make yourself familiar with the precautions associated with the installation and usage of the device (see pages 5 and 6 of this guide). 1. After connecting the power supply (See page 12), press the button to turn the machine on. The control panel will light up. Before beginning the treatment, and following instructions from the User’s Guide, you must select : • The intensity (Power) • The treatment continuous or rhythmic program (Select) • The duration of treatment (Time) 1. Select the adapter suited for your country and insert it in full in the corresponding outlet on the power supply. 1. When you use the machine for the first time, all parameters are set at the lowest values : - Minimum intensity at . Press on to increase to switch to rhythmic mode . Press on - Suction mode on Continuous / / or to select the required duration for the - Time at 6’ 06’00 . Press on treatment. 2. Select the treatment head then set the intensity, rhythm and duration according to the User’s Guide. 2. Connect the power cord to the back of the Wellbox. 2. 3. Press start is connected, rollers are stop to begin the treatment. If Roll head moving forward when the treatment begins. A lit arrow indicates the head’s moving direction. Use the lever to reverse the direction. The lit arrow will also change (see page 9). 4. You may stop the treatment at any time and resume when you wish by pressing the start stop button. 3. Plug the power supply into a wall outlet. A pilot lamp indicates that the power is on. 3. It is forbidden and dangerous to use another power supply than the one supplied with the device. 12 www.wellbox.com 5. To close Wellbox after use : - Connect Roll head to the connecting hose - Store the connecting hose by coiling it into the designed area around the box (2 turns) - Store Roll head in the location designed for that purpose near the control panel. Put the other heads away in their specific locations in the top cover. Each time you turn the machine on, the Filter pictogram is displayed for about 2 seconds. If it remains visible after 2 seconds, the filter must be replaced. All parameters may be changed during the treatment. www.wellbox.com 13 ® ® Maintenance Roll heads It is important to clean your machine regularly, for hygienic reasons, to keep it in good working order and guarantee the extent of its useful life. Disconnect the machine before any cleansing operation. For hygienic reasons, it is important to clean regularly the treatment heads. Changing the protection filter The filter must be changed regularly to ensure the good working order of the machine. When the Filter pictogram is continuously displayed on the control panel, you must replace the filter before using the machine again. To replace the filter : Disconnect the machine from the wall outlet. maintenance To clean the Roll heads : 1. 2. 3. 3. 4. 5. 1. 1. 2. 3. 1 . Hold the head by the roller side. Remove the rollers by pushing them out. 2 . Remove the seal from treatment chamber. 3 . Carefully clean the treatment chamber, the seal and the rollers with a wipe. 4 . Put the seal back in place. 5 . Push the rollers back in until you hear a “click”. 1. 2. Unscrew the cap by turning 1/4 turn to the left, as shown on the picture, the pull it towards you. To clean the Roll heads : 1 . Remove the protective pieces at the front and back of the head. 2 . Remove the two seals and carefully clean them with a wipe. 3 . Clean the treatment chamber and the rollers with a wipe. 3. Remove the used filter by detaching it from the cap and discard it. 4. Mount the new filter (use only 1 filter at a time) by turning down the two lock pins and set the cap back in place. 4 . Put the seals back in place. Set the protective pieces back in their place. 4. Do not use Wellbox without filter. 14 www.wellbox.com www.wellbox.com 15 ® ® Lift heads What to do if you have a problem ? maintenance First make sure that you have followed all the installation and usage precautions (see page 5 and 6). For hygienic reasons, it is important to clean regularly the treatment heads. If your machine is not functioning normally, before calling the Guitay® Customer Service, it is advised that you perform the following controls : To clean the Lift heads 1 . Hold the Lift head or Pick up the disassembly tool or , specific for each head and insert it, on its tapered side, in the removable flap area until you hear a “click”. • • • • • • • • • • Have the precautions for usage been followed ? Is the machine plugged to the power supply ? Is the power supply compliant with the machine use ? Does the power adapter correspond to your country’s standards ? Has the on/off button been pushed in ? Is the display panel on? Is the filter clean and correctly mounted ? Is the hose obstructed? Is it properly connected? Is the treatment head properly connected to the connecting hose ? Are the treatment heads’ components (seals, rollers, flaps) correctly mounted, clean and moveable ? easy to operate • Is the control button for the motorized Roll head without effort ? • For safety reasons, do not open the machine or the power supply. 2 . Pull the tool out; the flap will come out as well. 3 . Dismount the flap from the tool and clean it carefully with a disposable antiseptic wipe. 4 . Hold the tool on its flat sides and mount the flap back on the tool. 5 . Insert both in the treatment head until the bottom of the head is reached. 2. 1. 3. Once the above controls have been verified, and if the malfunction continues, contact the Guitay® Customer Service. Please have the device’s serial number available : it is written on the barcode label located on the underside of the machine (e.g. MM2151571234). • Please direct your written claims to : 4. 5. For all heads, it is advised to use the Guitay ® antiseptic wipes supplied with the machine.
