Janmar’s ZERO Plane™ family of LED recessed downlights and
trims continue the tradition of excellence with a selection of
standard, low-intrusion and trimless options. The ZERO Plane trim
effect (trim flush with ceiling surface) is created with Janmar’s
Architectural housings. Standard housings create a classic trim
(trim on ceiling surface) effect.
ZERO Plane™
Janmar’s patent-pending ZERO Plane™ trims are designed to
eliminate the intrusion of standard trims on the ceiling plane
without the labor of the trimless option. ZERO Plane trims used
with Janmar Architectural housings sit flush with the ceiling
surface. The clean ceiling surface does not draw attention to
the light fixtures, allowing the light to paint the scene without
distraction.
Janmar Optical Perfection
Janmar Lighting blends science and art with the goal of creating
the perfect LED beam photometric distribution. Janmar light
engines combined with our optics create no hard beam edges,
no chromatic abberation, no beam bruising or beam striations
that would distract from the smooth application of light.
Each beam has the following three distinct characteristics:
• A center beam to edge of beam min to max ratio of 3 to 1
• A soft, feathered beam edge
• A secondary soft field of light that overlays the beam field
improving min to max ratios
Field Changeable Optics
All Janmar fixtures have four tool-less field changeable optic
choices. Narrow Spot, Spot, Narrow Flood and Flood optic options
allow fine tuning the beam for your specific application. Optical
media may be used to further manipulate the beam. Specify the
beam spread when ordering.
For Standard LEDs (Cree® XPG) the optics create beams of:
NSP - 10°, SP - 15°, NFL - 23°, FL - 26°
For XLEDs (Cree XML) the optics create beams of:
NSP - 12°, SP - 18°, NFL - 27°, FL - 31°
Four Dimming Options
Triac Dimming
DMX Dimming
Simple magnetic low voltage dimming – Forward phase MLV
dimming controls with ground for single channel 100% to 1%
dimming for retrofit, remodel or new construction.
5 channel 1200 mA DMX LED driver for 512 channel controls for
use with 2700K, 3000K or Red, Green, Blue or White RGBW color
changing from 100% to 1%.
0-10V Dimming
Lutron Dimming
Simple magnetic low voltage dimming with two 0-10V control
wires to create multiple circuits, and/or fixture controls, through
low voltage control wiring per fixture.
Constant current 100% to 1% line voltage LED Lutron LED driver.

Janmar Housings
Janmar housings are designed to perfectly complement our
comprehensive range of trims. All Janmar housings are labeled
IC and Airtight. 2700°K, 3000°K and RGBW Colors (must specify
DMX driver) available. MR16 upgrade solutions available.
ZERO Plane Architectural Housings
Janmar Standard Housings
Janmar ZERO Plane Architectural housings feature Janmar’s
superior optical control and are designed to be paired with
Janmar trims to create the ZERO Plane effect. ZERO Plane means
that the trims will sit flush with the ceiling plane and not break
the clean ceiling surface. ½" regressed models are also available.
Using Janmar Standard housings will produce the classic recessed
trim effect while providing the same optical performance, beam
quality and light control as Janmar’s Architectural housings.
