A new welcome chalet will be open for the start of the winter season. This new building will be four times larger than the current one and includes a garage, a reception and waiting area, offices as well as a large cloakroom filled with winter clothing suitable for severe weather conditions. A number of new dogsledding trails have also been opened up. The schedule for the second season of winter operations with Air Canada starts on December 18 and offers flights in both directions four days a week, on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday until March 28. As for Porter, an agreement has also been reached for services this winter. Flights from Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto will start on December 4 and continue until April 4, following a variable seasonal schedule. This is the eighth year of flights from Toronto with Porter.
